SteamHammer
Find something to paint while it is being shipped to you. Or make some scenery.
edonil
heh, that's true. Although as I'm sure my art friend is going to remind me soon, I have writing to do too... I think tonight I'm going to make sure I have the right paints and I'll work on Monique.

SteamHammer
Ah. Is she for anything or just a fancy mini?
edonil
Fancy mini. I've had her for two years, still haven't finished the model... Picked her up because I wanted to try my hand at a 54mm piece. ---------- Post added at 05:10 AM ---------- Previous post was at 05:02 AM ---------- Get any painting done last night? SteamHammer
No, archery again. But in hindsight I shouldn't have gone as I was still knackered from Monday. Fun, but boy was I rubbish. Tonight will be making a start on the rail workers. I think I'll paint all 3 in a batch.
edonil
How're you going about painting them?
SteamHammer
I thought I'd inhale paint up my nose and then try to strategically sneeze it onto the right place *smug* Not sure. Grubby earth colours as they're workers.
edonil
Y'know, I was halfway expecting you to say 'with a brush'...but I like yours better.

edonil
I do hear that airbrushing is the new black. ---------- Post added at 05:34 AM ---------- Previous post was at 05:30 AM ---------- So, anything else new in the land of Steam? SteamHammer
Not really. Started (and almost finished) a nice fun sci-fi book called A Galaxy Unknown. Still replaying KOTOR, I still hate the unfairness of Pazaak but always play it for the cash. Beginning to think about how to do scenery, ordered some popsicle sticks. edonil
I never messed around with Pazaak...never picked up the trick, honestly. I just tended to hold onto cash and rely entirely on what I picked up, minus a few pieces like heavy blaster pistols.
SteamHammer
Like all RPGs there's that point where you move from never having enough money to having so much you couldn't actually spend it all even if you tried. I'm still in the first part.
edonil
Heh, true. Skyrim is really bad for that...once you get enchanting and smithing up to a certain point, you just start grabbing worthless daggers and turning them over for massive profit. SteamHammer
I'm really bad for that sort of greed. I'd be playing Fallout 3 or New Vegas and be ridiculously rich but I'd still search through every pile of garbage and container I came across. edonil
Heh, good old Fallout 3...I have to say, after having played both that and New Vegas, still prefer 3. NV is missing some of the charm.
SteamHammer
I'm not sure. I think I prefer NV as the story was slightly better and there wasn't the vast amount of sewer navigation that 3 had. Actually, scrap that. NV was 1 bajillion times better. I just remembered Little Lamplight.
edonil
Really? Huh. I dunno, I didn't like roaming around NV as much as DC. I like the dungeon crawling.
SteamHammer
I liked the open spaces for sniping. The sewers were fun to begin with. Always great when you spotted a trap and disarmed it. But after a while it just got annoying.
edonil
Ah, I'm not really a sniper myself. Give me a pistol and V.A.T.S and I'm good to go.
SteamHammer
A pistol is for back up. Silenced of course. Although by the end of the game my character is usually carrying around 5 or 6 different weapons. I need a golf caddy to follow them around. "I think this calls for the dragunov Jeeves". Alfndrate
I couldn't get into 3, I never had the ammo to sustain my pistolero shenanigans. And I maintain that melee combat in Bethesda games is terrible, so much so I almost didn't buy Skyrim until I played a bit on it. I was hoping for some magical form of V.A.T.S so I wouldn't have to swing all the time, and could just do it via V.A.T.S... Oh well, Skyrim was still a good game
SteamHammer
Why I play an archer in Skyrim. That way you either kill them at range or they're angry enough to come towards you so you aren't chasing down someone who keeps backing out of melee range.
