Alfndrate Posted December 11, 2012 Report Share Posted December 11, 2012 Doing well, I'm getting off my butt to paint my Viks crew, got the gun Vik finished last night, working on the swords Vik tonight, probably going to get done with her and Taylor done tonight. Paint Johan tomorrow, and maybe the Malifaux Child, possibly Sue. If I get those all done, all my Outcasts will be finished and ready for Demoing. Alfndrate Posted December 11, 2012 Report Share Posted December 11, 2012 I have no idea what the kid does lol. Many moons ago, I bought 1 of every Gremlin model out there that Wyrd sold. It was like some 300+ bucks (yay tax returns). One of my players saw me playing them, saw how frustrated I was getting with them, but loved what they could do. Offered a trade his Malifaux (minus the Arcanists) for my Gremlins. I got Sue, McTavish (crap I have to paint him too lol), Viks box, Malifaux Child, Pandora's box, aPandora, and Chompy's box. I think I got the bum deal, but at the same time I'm having far more fun now lol... I have the following demo crews: Lady Justice Nicodem (need basing) Pandora LCB (only dreamer and chompy are painted) Jakob Lynch (not painted) I also have Levi, Tina, and Molly in boxes still (I had a painted Tina crew but traded it for a full Iron Warriors Army, dumbest idea ever lol). Alfndrate Posted December 11, 2012 Report Share Posted December 11, 2012 First demo is usually Viks vs Justice as most people can handle the strategy behind melee beatdowns. Though I've been pairing Justice and 2 Death Marshals vs. Nicodem, Mortimer, and a Punk Zombie. Though I think I might do a few switcheroos and go with Nicodem, Mortimer and possible some canine remains. Once the basics are handled, I open it up to any crew they wish to try, and then I incorporate a shared strategy, a scheme (that they can pick) and soulstones. Depending on the demo, I might throw soulstones in when I think the two new guys would normally use them (like if Justice is about to hit Nicodem in the face for 6 wounds. (tips hat) I'm Jon, going by 'edonil' here on the forum. And I've never attempted to sculpt anything, but that's not stopping me from trying! Besides, the theme is "flying monsters",.. so it should be easy to come up with something. Monsters can be easy to hide the flaws and inperfections in.
