Dark Alleycat
Ok,so a friend handed me a Lord Chompy Bits, and said "Go nuts, convert it and paint it and make it look awesome" Now the problem with this is...I have no freaking idea what to do. So I come to the unhallowed halls of the Neverborn,to ask the experts. Considering you guys and gals will likely know all sorts of ways to make him look even more awesome, any advice on conversions, color schemes, vague ideas or really anything would be helpful. karn987
First question just to confirm this and not assume... is this standard Lord Chompy Bits (like the one in the crew box). Or is this Nightmare Lord Chompy Bits?
eturns
http://wyrd-games.net/forum/showthread.php?t=18390 Thats how i painted mine, GW Regal blue with a black wash, looks dark and foreboding in the flesh. I'm pleased with how it came out
Dark Alleycat
Box set Lord Chompy bits. If it were the Gen con one I wouldn't convert it just because I know bunches of people want that model lol. So far have come up with a couple ideas, but wanted to run certain things by the neverborn players and see if they would be upset. First and foremost,is that mouth in his stomach a strong identifying feature,or could it be removed...meaning does he have any rules or anything that involve it? Secondly,as far as a color scheme, how well would black, red and chrome work do you all think? Im kind of being inspired by old school heavy metal album covers. Chucklemonkey
No rules relating to the stomach teeth. It's not even on the nightmare edition. At least I don't think there is. Been too scared to take it out the box. Will let others get back to you re Paint schemes as I haven't decided on that myself.
LoboStele
The stomach teeth are on the Nightmare edition, but they are not as prominent as on the regular one. But yeah, nothing specific to do with them.
Dark Alleycat
Ok so greenstuffing it into a six-pack wouldn't be too terrible then. Awesome.
Wodschow
It's not even on the nightmare edition. At least I don't think there is. Been too scared to take it out the box. It is, just closed so only teeth showing Edit: Gah.. Again.. The Alps, the Alps!
karn987
Hmm you could always add tentacles to him...everyone loves tentacles!
Doctor Amos
Colour choice is important, as well. Black, or dark blue, is traditional. And boring. Blahrg, i be all dark. Pah. I'v seen a bright yellow one that will certain catch one's eyes. There's also, I think, a pink one floating about somewheres. LCB has a lot of flesh to cover and it's fairly uniform, so whatever you go with is going to be a stron colour choice. Own it.
Dark Alleycat
Well like I said,I was thinking more along the lines of Chrome for the helm, claws and Possibly part of the tail, with glossy black leather skin. I may end up going for pale skin and studded and spiked leather bracers. I am also seriously considering having the upper hands throwing the horns. I just have to decide if I need to greenstuff thumbs to make it look right or not lol.
Dark Alleycat
So in an update, yes I would have to redo the hands completely in order for it to look proper...Now to see if it is really worth it.

Dark Alleycat
Well,I managed to make the upper hands throwin the horns look proper...now I either make the lower hands holding a guitar,or have a guitar resting against an amp on the base. What do you all think?
Doctor Amos
I think amps prolly weren't invented until the 1930's. http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Guitar_amplifier And a steam amp would just sound awful.
Dark Alleycat
True...But the guy said he wasn't going to be using it to play with, just as a display peice. Besides..Since im planning a guitar like Gene Simmons...I dont think the amp will look all that out of place really. http://www.edroman.com/guitars/kramer/genesimmons.htm maybe just have it held in one hand.
