Smartah
Hey guys, I finally picked up a crew and started painting First up is young miss Woe. I loved the black and white look I saw someone else do, so I did my best with the same theme. I have some touchup work to do for sure. More to come Suggestions and CC are very much welcome
Shadeau Gorgon
I love black and white effects. It makes her look like she's stepped out of old film...
Smartah
Yeah I agree. I love the look of the black and white and as a an old film buff, it makes me love the figure and painting her even more

Svenn
The black and white does look pretty cool. The black under her eyes looks a little odd to me though.
Ratty
I love the idea.. It will look really cool. It might be the photo but the contrast doesn't look high enough. The face doesn't really stand out. You might want to go a few highlights higher. Even though you are doing black and white, you still need to think about spot colour (even if that colour isn't a colour). The eye should be drawn to a triangle of the head and the hands. So you probably want to go almost alabaster with them. Edited October 25, 2010 by Ratty
Smartah
Thanks for the advice. I'm planning on going over her again with some more white and getting rid of her black eye.
