antipixi
Here are a few shots of my first Malifaux painting, Colette. Looking at the photos I can see some touch ups are required (e.g. inside of jacket and sleeve). Any comments/suggestions are welcome. I though a first post showing that I was on my way to playing seemd appropriate. :-) Chris EDIT 20/10: Here is a shot of her dress after I softened the highlights a light: I also lightened the jacket a little. Hope you think it's an improvement! Edited October 22, 2010 by antipixi

Owen Ojo De Lobo
Yes, the face is very, very good! But the dress... IMHO, you need to work more in dress. The different highlights are very different, you need to add some medium tones.
Omenbringer
I like everything but the the black jacket on this model. For some reason it just doesn't look right.
antipixi
Thanks for the positive comments. Matt - I'm aiming to have a 25 stone crew ready for the new year. Not rushing them, just enjoying the painting. Owen ODL - Looking at it, I agree. Since I haven't varnished it yet, I'll have a go at making a smoother blend to the dress (especially the bustle). Omenbringer - I think the jacket may be a little too dark for the rest of the model. After tweeking the dress, I may lighten it slightly. Again any suggestions welcome. The showgirls are lovely models to paint and the detail on the casts are exceptional. I am a firm believer that critique and reflection are the only way to improve practice so the more help the better.:decision:
