Cheap Laminator

Figured I would share the love. Amazon has the Scotch Laminator that can do full page lamination on sale for $18 for their gold box today:

I picked it up last time they had it up for gold box and I've been happy with it. Sometimes it will cloud the image a bit but nothing that makes it unreadable.

I actually just bought one and it showed up today. It works great. From what I here the cloudy issue comes more from the brand of pouches you by then the laminator. I will have to experiment and see.

I managed to get one here for 8 pounds and 50 pockets for 3 pound.they worked perfectly.I was up for hours laminating lol

The link appears to be dead. Do you have the exact model number? The Fallowes one they had at staples looked beefy but was like $150 :'(

For what it's worth, I picked up mine at Aldi, of all places, for something like $25. Since it was their weekly special, I don't know if / when they'll have it again. It's worked pretty well for me so far. Not sure what the model number is, but I'll update when I get home.

That is actually the laminator I use. The cloudy problem actually relates to air in the pouch. What I've found to work REALLY well is to cut a corner of the lamination around the corner and then run it thru again with that corner going last. That will reheat it and push all the air out that corner and then reseals it. Always works for me.
