Berman
Let me say I love botht he prepainted stuff they do and the metal. The ability to bust out the bulk of an army in short order is great. Most of my hero figures though I use the metal version all painted up fancy pants. Being a married man not having to paint for all my games is a real blessing. Its a large enough scale game you really are looking at a block of 10-18 guys not the individual model anyway. And therein lies the major issue all former Rackham gamers have with where the company went. The beauty of the former Confrontation was the niche that Wyrd is now profiting on: Smaller more dynamic groups of 5-10 minis where people care about each miniature, rather than popping down huge numbers of troops without any personality. I don't think that's the major issue at all. Many of us would be happy to play large scale games. It's the fact they went to PPP and abolished the skirmish game. Most people can accept spending $200 on models if the game is fun and the models aren't total a$$. It's when the game sucks and/or the models suck that you get complaints.
