Lucidicide
So what's everyone's feeling on Raid? In many ways, it's case-specific, but I was wondering how people have done completing it, particularly in close games (it doesn't mean much if you're dominating). GuySmiley
Raid is fairly common for me to use. Even more so then hold out. The guild are hard hitters so it isn't to nightmarish to kill off the other crew. Unlike eye for an eye where you have to be within one model, raid gives a bit more freedom. MadArcanist
I actually prefer using Raid when I can. Mainly because if you have to kill off there crew (slaughter-assassinate) your gonna get the VP anyways unless you lose. I agree about being hard hitters, and we will generally have the guys to back up our numbers overall (having 7 or so guys in a high SS game is generally a good thing when choosing Raid) It just generally will mean that when you hit someone you are going for the kill as opposed to just wounding them. To me thus far its been an easy 2 VP.
Pipeline
I use it a lot. Just make sure to not take it with eye 4 an eye :slap: as madarc says, def a plus when taking slaughter...but if you lose, you lose big
paradox
If I have a real interest in scoring VPs, I of course default to Hold Out. Raid! is fun, but IIRC there are other easy marks for schemes. I loaned my book out, so I can't review. If my goal is to Win (capitalized) I probably wouldn't bother with Raid! If the goal is to play a game, I might.
