blakeh1
Message sent, let's hope Montreal will get it and respond. I hope not
Pipeline
In the drivers seat. So ... Montreal is totally getting steamrolled.
Manicmac
Ran out of gas? Hasn't shown up yet? Falling apart? Philly is just too good? (NO WAY!) What, are both semi's going to be sweeps?
Pipeline
I just don't want to face Philly on an 8 game winning streak.
Flikfutch87
...*sigh* Here we go again, Sharks fans...
Manicmac
The West will over power the East no matter the team.
Flikfutch87
True, same as in basketball lately.
Pipeline
Well lookie who showed up to the series. About time Mtl.
Manicmac
Looked like the Habs got the bounces and home ice boards. Taking nothing away, that is to be expected when you play at home. But Pronger looked like he was lost most of the night. I hope he finds his way to Montreal for game 4.
Manicmac
SCORE!!!!!! What goal tending there in the OT. 3-0 Chicago.
Pipeline
09-10 conference champs. nobody can take that away from you.
Manicmac
Absolutely!! Ask the Canadians. Or the Flyers. All the teams will tell you the same thing, they do not matter. The CUP matters. The oldest trophy in professional sports, the only trophy that is perpetual, the only one you do not touch, EVER, unless you EARN IT. (with the exception of the Dallas Stars). Trophies and banners are nice but the CUP is the prize. Interesting to note, the game go ahead goal and the game winner were scored by the men that received the penalties just before. . .whoops! VINDICATION!!
Pipeline
Boland going to the box 3 times in a game is unacceptable. I can go for Hossa spending less time in the box as well. It's different if they're putting the hurt on, but these penalties are petty. We got off our checking game last night. Needs more crunch. Manicmac
If you are going to play like that you do not need a checking game. Penalties were petty, but called for. And Bolland scored on a break away after he sat. Montreal better bring it or they are D-O-N-E. Sharks? Get the clubs ready, golf is on your schedule. Flikfutch87
A spectacular meltdown only the Sharks are capable of. Good job, Chicago. You guys definitely earned it.
Manicmac
Oh I think there are other teams that melted this season/playoffs. . . Wings, Bruins, Canucks. . .Caps, Penguins. . .
Flikfutch87
Yeah, but still...A perfect sweep. And as the local hockey columnist here pointed out, this was a team that had won eight out of its first 11 playoff games. Yeesh.
blakeh1
Yeah, but it all comes down to match ups and most series are largely independant of the results of previous series. There are some teams that never seem to be able to beat other teams, while other teams have no problems beating those ssame teams
Manicmac
Still, you would expect a better series between the 1&2 seeded teams. Chicago not only won they did it in a sweep. That says much about the team.

Manicmac
BOY I sure hope so! The semi's were not that great. Okay, if you were a Chicago or Philly fan it was great! I don't need a 7 game series but one that is close with great hockey would be cool. And at 90 degrees with high humidity here in Michigan I need cool.
