Lord Abaddon of Wormwood
This is one fantastic series of sets, the next round just makes it even greater. Lord Abaddon of Wormwood
Nathan Caroland
I'm interested in seeing these first hand put together .. they look great. Maybe one of these days I'll buy some and have a hand at it or see about having someone else get into it for me.
nilus
I find it funny that this and Fat Dragons new deluxe city setup came out within days of each other. They both look good, although I think I prefer World Works darker look. Does anyone know what this means GSD automated cutting support
Keltheos
http://www.graphteccorp.com/craftrobo/about.html Robotic cutting machines. Craftrobo's a brand and looks like a home version, I saw one online for $250 (so about the cost of a printer).
nilus
I wonder if that means I can get them cut out for me at a Kinkos. Do the generally have those robot cutting machines.
Nathan Caroland
So .. what .. it cuts on the dotted line? If so ... I may just find some disposable income for something like this down the road. Kids would love it that's for sure.
gregdorf
The dotted lines are for scoring the paper, the solid green lines are usually where you cut with them. I am not sure how that printer works, with the stuff I have at work everything has to be set up in a very select way or the cutting will not happen. I imagine that you will have to print from a specific program that will be provided with the printer.
Rorik36
Yeah, you have to jump through some hoops a bit but it seems like it will cut down (pun intended) on the time to get these things assembled. I am waiting until someone gets Wormhole updated then I might pick on of these up.
Lord Abaddon of Wormwood
I picked up a Robo cutter for $140US about two weeks ago on ebay - solid seller/vendor. The cutter will turn out a simple square cut in seconds and a page that might take up to 10+ minutes well within the 3-4 threshold. You just print the page, load it on to a backing sheet (a reuseable sheet of cardstock with a light dusting of spay glue - useful for about 5-8 cuts), cue up the correct GSD and hit Enter. You end up with trimmed out sections that nicely peel away from the backing sheet. The GSD have the scoring loaded into it too so all you have to do is shift the freshly cut cardstock into shape (after edging) and glue. They really really cut down the time. Keltheos could you PM me when you get a chance please. As for the whole Fat Dragon launch.... don't get me started.
