Morf
I've been bad recently by making you, oh good News Monkey and other good people,, post my stuff, here's a new one:
Malebolgia
You are forgiven if you do a News Monkey sculpt . Must be the the best superhero that you could hire! Awesome sculpt and paintjob by the way. The cape is really interesting and it fits the superhero setting. But the thing I like the most is his mask. Duende
Edna says, "No capes!" Seriously though, nice mini, but I think the cape is a little too voluminous.
v22TTC
I like the cape, personally ... but then, I've never seen a mini, or comic illustration and thought anything other than, 'Wish that cape was a bit bigger'. Cheers for getting nearer than most!
Xenon_Wulf
Gah. The more previews that get posted, the more I painful I know this upcoming Gencon will be.
redstripe
I really love this one, Morf. This one's Grade-A!
Scorpio
The cape and the mask, I get. The rolled-up sleeves stand out as a little weird for me, though.
supervike
I agree Scorpio...the 'Don Johnson' look seems bizarre to me as well. It is gorgeously painted, however.
thewartoad
Very nice but I've been unable to buy the other ones in pre-order status?
redstripe
I agree Scorpio...the 'Don Johnson' look seems bizarre to me as well. It is gorgeously painted, however. There are some folks on the Pulp City forums that perhaps share your view in looking for more traditional, "Golden Age" capes and spandex heroes and Morf's said that those are on the way. I really like the "Pulp" in Pulp City, though. This looks like a dude from the 1980's that found himself a magical, self-aware cape and jumped in head first into a life of crime. In that way, I think the miniature works brilliantly. I think this is my favorite one that's come out in a while.
supervike
I totally understand trying to break free of the cliche's. Knowing the fluff also helps. I don't want to sound like I'm down on the products...Pulp City stuff is killer. But, I guess I'd like to see more 'superhero' out of some of them as well.... redstripe
But, I guess I'd like to see more 'superhero' out of some of them as well.... What I meant to say was that I think a lot of people looking at Pulp City, right now, say that too. I'm looking forward to those classic looks that inspire a little comic book nostalgia, as well. Morf
Very nice but I've been unable to buy the other ones in pre-order status? We'll open pre-orders for these in the mid March. Through our online store, you will be able to buy the duo-packs and individual minis too in case you have a very particular team construction in your mind. Xenon_Wulf
Any word on distribution? The LGS I frequent most often goes through E-Figures for about 90% of all their miniature-related needs.
v22TTC
Through our online store, you will be able to buy the duo-packs and individual minis too in case you have a very particular team construction in your mind. That's good to know - quite a few minis I want to buy individually (though not for anything as uncouth as gaming...).
Wren
Now THAT'S a cape! And a crackin' paint job.
Moavoamoatu
One of the best miniatures for Pulp City. Great job Morf.
