I tried giving the URL for my avatar, but I get back the "avatar too big" error message. Is it talking about pixels or file size? Can't seem to find the "what is acceptable" information anywhere. I'm also a little confused since I'm used to the size of avatars that are linked to by URL being irrelevant since it just shows the image instead of uploading it to a local system... but whatever. Nathan Caroland Posted October 20, 2006 Report Share Posted October 20, 2006 The maximum size of your custom image is 80 by 80 pixels or 19.5 KB (whichever is smaller). As I haven't ever played with the linking to be honest, I would say that it is probably larger than the 80x80 and would need to fit within that category. You can also upload it directly if you wish.
