TheMasses
This is my first attempt at painting shiny black clothing (think Matrix chick,) I’d appreciate any feedback I can get. Thanks.
Nathan Caroland
Not a fan of this particular miniature (liked her concept art so much more I have to admit) but, that being said, not bad at all! Maybe a bit rough, perhaps a wash of black to maybe bring things in a bit, but I'm not sure. I know I can't pull it off, so take my advice with just a pinch of skeptism. vincegamer
Funny, I really like the mini. Maybe cause I've never seen the concept art. I suggest you make the highlights smaller and put an edge of pure white on them. Otherwise nicely done. Very good cloak.
Jubilee
Your white highlights to get the shine are too thick. You really only want a sliver of white at the high point for the vinyl-like shine. You want more dark gray and black. I really dislike this miniature, I just can't get over how much different from her concept art she is. It was a real letdown. That said, your paint job really improves it. /ali
TheMasses
It seems the general response is that the highlights need to be sharper and brighter. :banghead: FF, Jubilee – I think that the mini on its own is pretty good. However when viewed in the context of the concept art it is a bet of a let down. :dontknow: There is some talk of having another version of her, kind of the way Reaper has many different Sophie’s, but if it happens it will be a little way down the road.
