wiccanpony
Someone dear to me gave me a box set of Warhammer Glade Guards, sixteen figures and I thought I might paint up a playable army to sell. I don’t play so have no idea what a 1000 pt army is made up of. Can someone point me toward some of the units I would need to buy to make this project work. thanks
vincegamer
I think the first thing you need is the army book, then the Warhammer book. It immediately starts to grow in cost. (though I have heard both may be available for stealing - er, downloading from the internet). I don't know the wood elves, but I'd guess each model is about 15 points. So you will need more minis. Again the price grows. If you have good-hearted opponents you can use other stuff and it'll be much cheaper, but if you want to play in the store or even in a tournament, you will have to have GW official stuff. Nathan Caroland
I did a quick google search - here ya go for some ideas. Basically you're looking at buying a box set from the looks of it, which is a couple hundred in cost and then time to paint them all. http://www.librarium-online.com/forums/wood-elves/28480-list-1000pt-we-list.html http://www.warseer.com/forums//showthread.php?t=6052
