Display Cabinets!!

I have a set of that small shelf - it does look nice, but for painted stuff my parents got me a pair of glass cabinets, because they've got that parent's pride in my paint work , they're large, somewhat fragile (they're glass cabinets, after all), but they come with a small light fixture.

I've seen it in real life and because of its size, I can use it quite well as a display for my single mini's as it's not big enough for even a Warmachine or Hordes battlegroup..

But as said, for an even better effect you do need to build in a light of some sort..
