Shenlong and Sacred Ink

Hi all,

Ran into a discussion with my opponent during a game today with McMourning vs Shenlong.

McMourning was attacking Shenlong and had hit him twice so far that activation piling up a total of Poison +3.  He hit him a third time which would have given another Poison +1 but then spent a Chi token saying that this would negate the Poison +4 condition.

My reading of Sacred Ink was that it would only negate the Poison +1 in this case leaving him still with Poison +3 on his character.

You are correct that Shenlong would still have Poison +3. Page 29 of the rules says that when you gain a condition with a value, it is added to any value you currently have.  Because of this Sacred Ink would only stop the additive from happening, not remove the condition entirely.
