Simple Dreamer Question - New Player

Hi everyone, simple clarifying question here. When you use Dreamer's ability to summon more units, do you have to name the units you are trying to summon before the flip occurs? Or can you do the flip then retroactively declare what you're going for? Seems like it would be the former, but I'd like to make sure.

You have to name the minions before the flip.

Naming the minions is part of the italics of the action, and is thus a 'cost'. You have to pay/do the costs (italics) before you go further like flipping cards.
