Focus and non-attack flips

Virtus

Question

I understand that focus doesn't carry over to multiple attacks through something like a charge, flurry, or rapid fire. But what if I use focus on an action and hit a trigger that requires an additional flip? Would the additional flip(s) retain focus? This question is in regards to Hamelin's 0 tactical action to make multiple Stolen off the Mesmerize trigger as well as the Pipes trigger which deals damage. Thanks for the help!

If it's a completely new action, then no, it does not retain focus;

Quote

1) If a model has the Focus +1 Condition, can it remove the Condition at the start of a Charge Action in order to gain the bonus to all Attacks generated by the Charge Action? No. It would have to remove the Condition at the start of a single Attack which was generated by Charge and it would only gain the bonus for the duration of that Attack. Other Actions which generate Attack Actions (such as Flurry, Rapid Fire, etc) function in the same way in regards to Focus.

Though that should probably be re-written to remove Attack and just say actions.

If it is just a simple flip then it will be affected by the accuracy modifier of the action, which includes focus.

70) If a Trigger on an Action causes a damage flip, does that count as part of the original Action? Is it modified by things like the Accuracy Modifier and Focus? Yes, Triggers that cause damage flips are a part of the Action which caused them and any damage flip on such a Trigger would retain any modifiers to the original flip including Accuracy, Focus, cover, etc.
