NOTE: The new Gaining Ground 2015 Tournament pack will be used for this event on day 1. Please make yourself familiar with these new strategies. The 2015 Gaining Grounds Tournament pack can be downloaded from the Wyrd Website.
NOTE: You may use a different faction on day 2 but must play all your games with your selected faction.

Scoring for PIGAPAUX will follow a Domination format. The player who scores the most VP in a game will receive 3 Tournament Points (TP) with the loser scoring 0. Draws will result in players being awarded 1 TP each. Players will also note down their total VP gained and the differential in VP between them and their opponent.
Players will be ranked each day by their TP, with any ties first being decided VP differential, then by total VP.
The rankings of each day will then be used to form an overall score to determine the best performed players over all of PIGAPAUX.

Terrain and Tables

Table sizes will be the usual 3x3 and will have at least half the table covered in terrain where possible. The tables will be set up before the event and terrain must not be moved over the course of the weekend.

Proxies for unreleased models can be used, however please make sure that the model you're using is similar to what the model would look like and is on the correct base. If you want to proxy other models please contact the TO.

Matchup Selection

The first round of PIGAPAUX will consist of randomly generated pairings with the exception of grudge matches. This is PIGAPAUX folks. Therefore 3 story encounters relating to PIGGIES, Gremlins, Moonshine and good old fashioned Bayou tricksiness will test your ability to play outside of the standard gaining grounds format. Copies of these encounters will be included for players on the day. I will also add the page number, and relevant Malifaux book these can be found in. These are designed to be fun, but also challenging, and may just decide who actually gets to walk away with the Golden Piglet...

Fully painted crews for PIGAPAUX are encouraged but not required. Players will not be penalised for failing to have a fully painted crew however during the lunch break on day 1 they will be able to set up any collection of their painted models for the attendees to vote on the best presented crew.

Playing the game in a sportsmanlike manner is a requirement of all tournament attendees.
Once again, no scoring is associated with sportsmanship however any issues that arise before, during or after a game should be brought to the attention of the TO with repercussions to be decided on a case by case basis.
Games within the tournament need to adhere to a strictly timed schedule to ensure the smooth running of the day for all involved. In order to ensure games can be completed in full and on time wherever possible it would be appreciated if players attend with a good understanding of their own crew.
At the conclusion of the day players will be asked to vote on the best sport they played throughout the day, with the player receiving the most votes receiving the prize for best sportsman.

The major prizes on offer for PIGAPAUX are as follows.

Day 1 Winner
Day 2 Winner
Overall 1st Place (THE GOLDEN PIGLET!!!)
Overall 2nd Place
Overall 3rd Place
Best Presented Crew
Best Sports
Best New Player (Those attending their first Malifaux tournament)
Last Place

Further prizes may be determined and awarded at the tournament dependent upon funds and TO discretion.

Get on it people!!! You know you want to!
