GMort
An unboxing and review of the Collodi starter set. I've tweaked the format slightly. The group picture is by the box contents breakdown at the top and I've added a background section on the master as well. I've also brightened the pics for those of you who found the last few a bit dark... http://gmortschaotica.blogspot.co.uk/2015/07/unboxing-malifaux-collodis-master-of.html
zFiend
Vasilisa looks a lot better as a sculpt than her art / render indicated.
GMort
Vasilisa looks a lot better as a sculpt than her art / render indicated. That is true. The whole set has a very nice aesthetic to it.
zFiend
Yeah it looks pretty good actually altogether.
SurreyLee
Looks very nice. I was worried a bit that Collodi would look too big, but actually his scaling is perfect imo
TimH
the hands look better than the stubs you had to glue together for metal collodi.
zFiend
the hands look better than the stubs you had to glue together for metal collodi. I don't understand? I have the metal Collodi model which I ordered at some point and it has clear hands and no stubs.. Did you get a defect one?
TimH
No. The problem I had was just that the join 'pins' on the hands were little more than stubs, so with the angle and weight I found them a nightmare to keep attatched with my subpar pinning skills. zFiend
Oh okay. I don't pin anything and I've found majority of the models staying together just fine.
Wee Little Puppet Man
They do look way better than their renders. I specially love the backpack on Vasilisa and how Collodi has a long, slightly inhumane figure when seen from the back. Also, the face of every puppet is really well done. At some point I was doubting whether to get the crew, but now I can't wait. Good job, Gmort! Your unboxings are really useful!
