Big_D
Hi all, new to Malifaux, but not minature gaming. I have my first Malifaux event at the start of June and used it as motivation to get my crew painted... First up, Jacob Lynch and his Hungering Darkness. It doesn't show up very well in the photo, but Huggy is actually painted to look oily, by painting him sliver and then apllying bands of colored washes to get that oil-slick rainbow look. Next up, Mr Graves and Mr Tannen Beckoners Illuminated. And lastly, some scheme markers I cut from 3mm acrylic... Thanks for looking. Vidd
Looking good. Love the cards littered around the bases and I think it's quite interesting how you've gone for green over the more standard purple for Lynch and HD.
Big_D
Thanks. Didn't know there was a "standard" color for them, I just did the ethereal stuff the same color I do all my ethereal stuff
Otylia
Love the basing - especially the added blood spatter on Graves'. I see the oily effect you described on the illuminated more than I can on Huggy, but I'm sure it's clearer in person. Good luck at the event! lusciousmccabe
Those Illuminated look horrifying. I've never seen them done with mostly flesh tone, it's a great effect.
SpiralngCadavr
Haha, nice Lynch. I feel like just a few little tweaks did a great job giving him a western feel. The whole crew has a fun lighter set of colors, which I think sets off the hungering darkness nicely.
Argentbadger
Nice painting. The Beckoners' glowing eyes are particularly sweet. I like the neckerchief on Lynch himself, it gives him quite a cowboy kind of feel.
