Jacks
Hello all, Sorry for so many noobish questions, but my Malifaux rulebook is still in the mail and I'm just so excited to start the hobby. I'm thinking of building my own terrain, starting with a board and adding plasticard buildings, etc that can be moved around. Is the standard play surface for Malifaux 3'x3'? I was thinking of making the board to look like 1" cobblestones to aid in measurement, etc. I assume all in-game range measurements are in inches? Thanks, Jacks
Ierocis
Welcome to the hobby! The wait for mail is painful at times. I live out in the middle of nowhere; I feel your pain. Anyway, to answer your questions: Yes, standard table is 3'x3'. Correct again, inches because the metric system is evil. I look forward to seeing your project progress!
paradoxstorm
Yep, 3' x 3' is the size of the play surface. 1" cobblestones will help with a few things, but I wouldn't worry about it from that perspective, mostly you'll be using a measuring tape or other measuring tool for most game play. If you like cobblestones, then cobblestone it is, but not for measurement purposes.

Furio
In the "terrain showcase" area of the forum, there is a thread with loads of links to interesting things for building a board,
