  1. Are the Malifaux bases made if the same plastic as GW bases? I was just assembling Bad Juju and it seemed like my Testor's Model Masters plastic glue was having a harder time attaching him to the base than it normally does with GW minis.
  2. If I'm just starting Malifaux and have nothing from 1E then I won't need any arsenal decks, will I. As I understand it, the arsenal decks are for upgrading people's 1e stuff to 2e and everything I will need as far as upgrades and such go will come in my 2e crew boxes? Or are there upgrade cards which only come in the arsenal decks? Thanks.
  3. So, I see last year's special edition was the Whiskey Golem. Will there then eventually be a non-limited version of the Whiskey Golem?
  4. I've noticed a decent amount of pics around the internet of 2E plastic models that aren't available in the webstore. Like, for example, "The Hanging Trees". Are there a lot of limited edition Malifaux minis or something?
  5. Another question: Is Wyrd's plan to do plastic 2E versions of ALL the first edition minis?
  6. Unfortunately I am down near Dayton. A decent drive. Thanks for the offer though.
  7. Gotcha. I'm also awaiting Zoraida's crew box (my first crew) in the mail and I'm going to assume the little voodoo doll is her specific totem then? Thanks!
  8. So, I'm just playing around with the crew creator waiting impatiently for my rulebook to come in the mail (so, I don't really know what I'm doing). Why does Som'er Teeth Jones' crew come with 2 skeeters when, according to the crew creator, he can only have one and that one only as a totem? For that matter, what is a totem as opposed to a crew member?
  9. Unfortunately all four of my LGS's stopped selling Malifaux once it went to 2E, so I only have the online store as an option.
  10. Hello all, I understand Wyrd isn't a powerhouse like GW so are more likely to run out of stock more often, but could a veteran in the hobby tell me about how long they usually take to restock models in their webstore? Also, how often do they release new plastics for 2E? Thanks, Jacks
  11. Hello all, Sorry for so many noobish questions, but my Malifaux rulebook is still in the mail and I'm just so excited to start the hobby. I'm thinking of building my own terrain, starting with a board and adding plasticard buildings, etc that can be moved around. Is the standard play surface for Malifaux 3'x3'? I was thinking of making the board to look like 1" cobblestones to aid in measurement, etc. I assume all in-game range measurements are in inches? Thanks, Jacks
  12. Hrrm. I've got some skill with modeling, perhaps I'll just start building my own terrain.
  13. Where do most people get their terrain for Malifaux?
  14. Are the Terraclips terrain sets no longer available? I can't find them in the online store.
  15. Okay, thanks for all the advice!
  16. I've just decided to start collecting and eventually playing Malifaux 2E after getting a look at Second Edition's gorgeous miniatures. I'm a modeler/ painter first, gamer second, so I've already ordered the Zoraida Crew box just to start working on some minis (been painting 40K for 22 years, so I'm well versed in that aspect), and I'm going to pick up the rulebook soon and start reading, the painter in me just couldn't resist picking up some minis first. I plan on adding some sorrows, waldgeists and nephilim to the Zoraida crew, so my question is: How many points is a typical game, and will the aforementioned models be a decent sized crew altogether? Thanks, everybody.
