Oz - Rampage Games
Hi All, A friend had a good question in his intro game of malifaux and i was not sure on answer. If a death marsh has pine boxed a model (e.g. Lady J), if another DM pine boxes the first one, does that also get buried or would that unbury lady J? Sorry but couldnt think of a s imple answer at the time. I went with not sure....lol Thanks for response in advance
Amdor
Pine box says that when the DM takes the action again or is removed from play the target is unburied in base contact. The rules for burying state that the model is removed from play when it's buried. Therefore the first Death marshal would get buried by the second one and Lady J would unbury next to the first one before it's removed. Oz - Rampage Games
Ah ok, so can only one model ever be pine boxed? Three DM's couldn't bury me seperate models then?
Ausplosions
Each DM can bury a separate model. A single DM can only bury one. If it is removed from a in any manner the boxed model is unburied.
Dirial
It's a tricky case, but the generally agreed upon interpretation is that if DM A buries DM B, a potential model in B's Pine Box gets unburied. Like Ausplosions said, buried is a special case of removed from play where you can get back in.
