Sensei Yui has the catv ability as part of his baseline. Yui can equip the wandering river style upgrade which grants the catv ability. Does Yui count as having two separate entries of the catv ability, allowing him to essentially use the ability twice per turn? Or do the rules sort of merge into a single entry?

Interesting question, however, I think that the use of the words "Once per turn..." limit the use of the ability more than once.

You cannot gain two of the same Ability unless the Ability has a value, like Armor +1 or Hard to Wound +1.

Edit: So in OP's example, the second instance of CATV would just not be gained.
