A question about Upgrade restrictions and 'Frozen Heart' in particular.

Was looking through my Arcanists Arsenal Deck and I noticed that some of the Upgrades have the Restriction 'Frozen Heart', however none of the Arcanist models have that as a Characteristic, though some do have it as an Ability.

 

So, do other Upgrades have restrictions that are Abilities rather than Model Characteristics, or is this an error?

It's not a mistake. Upgrades can be restricted in many ways, by abilities or talents, by name (Ramos or Joss), or by station (master, henchman, leader, or enforcer) to name just a few.

Armor of December and Sub Zero are the only upgrades restricted to an ability, it made me go hmm when I first saw it too.

 

Other odd ones are the upgrades with Ascendant or Modification as restrictions as no models have these as characteristics or abilities. They can be attached with actions during the game though (by Yan Lo and Hoffman respectively).
