ugh.... this itch wont go away soon i guess,

being from Germany, i wonder, when boxes like scorch the soul, or monsterous will be on our shelves....

non of the LGSs nearby are able to get them....

have you guys heard anything? Or know more about those releases?

If you want to get new stuff fast in germany, you have to rely on waylandgames in the uk. German distributors get it 1 month later, in most cases. I for myself am still waiting for my iconic fate deck i preordered around october or november last year at fantasywelt. If you have some pals you could order together to share the transitcosts.

  2. Hey guys,

I'm planning to start a Mcmourning crew and I think you all know the problem - you look at a new crew, read through the models and you think: man, all of this sounds awesome.

So I came up with this crew:

    Mcmourning and The Whisper

    Zombie Chihuahua

    Sebastian

    Rafkin

    Rogue Necromancy

2 Flesh Constructs with Killer Instincts on both

What are your opinions - any suggestions?

I'm not building on budget or something. I also do not look for the most broken list or something. Just trying to get an idea how the group works and synergizes.

I use to listen to podcasts for this reason but couldn't find any for m3e Mcmourning.

Wow! They look great... I went on the website to buy the Bayou bundle... But you have to subscribe to a monthly payment. I'm not a fan of this business models.

Is there a way to buy the 3d files as a one shot deal?

From next month on, but than they will be more expensive. It´s right that you have to subscribe, but you can start the subscription to get the files, and than end your subscription immidiatly. so you have to only pay one month.

  4. Hey folks,

i´m pretty sure that many of you already know about it, but maybe there are also some people who don´t.

I´m talking about Loot Studios. They provide on a monthly subscription basis some cool STL-Files for 3D-Printers.

Every month they release a package with miniatures and suitable terrain with a different theme.

These serve mostly for P&P games but the terrain they offer, also works good for Malifaux in many situations.

Like this month for example is a true eldorado for every Bayouplay out there.

The quality in details is just amazing.

And there are other pieces in old bundles too, that fit really well.

If you are joining now, and want some of the old stuff, you can purchase single packs seperatly.

If you want to check out:

    www.loot-studios.com

    Greetings

  5. Hi Leute,

    Summary of my January:
    Valedictorian-Jan21.jpgPolish-20210119-221612697.jpg20210124-Madame-Sybelle.jpgDead-Doxy1-20210127.jpg

    So it's Valedictorian (10) + 2 Undergraduates (2x6) + Sybelle (10) + Dead Doxy (6) = 38 Stones

Thank you all for having this monthly painting challenge going. Without those motivational buffs I wouldn't manage to get this much done 🙇‍♂️

I really like the stockings on your doxy 👍

Trie, but it's still a long process (any stippling techniques are). On a big models with flat surface like this, it may take a while... But it's really rewarding and, as you said, easier than some other blending techniques.

    Suggestion for the OP :

If you don't want to do fur, you should just push the contrast a little bit more (this alt Teddy is nothing but a couple of spheres and cylinders, they cath the light on an interesting way).

Do the patches!  No need for crazy free hand, just make them pop with interesting colors choices and it will change your models.

Black nose and red (or whatever color you like) will change the face of your teddy (this is the focal point of your mini)... make them pop with just a little spot of light (pure wither will do).

Finally, if you want to go one extra step, go for easy special effects : blood on the claw, dust on the feet or little scratches on the body (to simulate old leather)... All of these are really easy to do and will bring alot of personality to you mini, for just a little more time investment.

Please post pics of the final results 😀

Thanks for all the effort, I will post the final result in my miniature showcase thread - will link you

  8. The rest of the Pandora Core Box is done.

Now there are Teddy and Carver in wip status.
Unfortunatly i had to strip carver and have to start all over again because i was more then unsatisfied with him.

Also waiting for paint are Iggy and Aversions + a whole Dreamer Crew with several options *yikes*

Guess i have to live for Scott´s theme: Paint! More! MINIS!!! xD
