I use her for the same reasons, you've written. But I don't like her =)

Personally I pick her because she can give Family characteristic to one of my big guys (Emissary or Peacekeeper) and give (1) Action as her (0). Aside from that, she has a shooting attack with a very low range and almost useless attack. A 6' SH attack and 7 Wounds almost always means that after shooting she is dead.

Yep, watcher is useful. But too bad that he doesn't live long enough. Buffed Emissary with 8 Df/7 WP stats, 10 wounds, Armor, Hard to Kill, Healing abilities is a bit more durable. Not to mention that he can also deal damage and bury.

You always have to take Brutal Emissary. His 0 upgrade for Dita is great. 1. She gets for Obey, which is great. 2. When you shoot into engagement you don't flip for him when determening random target. And that's huge. Really huge. Now you don't always have to see enemy model, which hides out of your LOS. You don't even have to be in 14' near them. All you need is to engage your Emissary (in 2') with such models. And then - shoot him in the back. The target willl be randomised, but it can never be your Emissary. As per rulebook "When firing into an engagement it is possible to hit targets that aren’t technically within LoS or range to the Attacker" So the range of attack is now 14 + 2 +2 (base) = 18'

You can hire Freikorps specialist, a merc with a flamethrower =) He is a bad walker (WK4), but Emissary can carry him to enemy ranks.

Lady J (onslaught) + Francisko + Brutal Emissary. On turn 1 Francisco buffs Emissary. Emissary buries Lady J and moves forward 6' On turn 2 buffed Emussary keeps moving forward 12'. With def 8/WP 7 and armor he is hard to deal with. Then he releases Lady J in the middle of enemy ranks She doesn't have to charge (+ flip to damage) and slaughters all around her. Austringer is good here. He sits way back home out of LOS and allows front ranks to do interact actions.
