  1. Fan of Knives: This character may discard a Twist Card to make up to three 1 AP Thrown Weapons attack Actions with this weapon 
    (she must throw one knife per attack made this way). If she does so, she gains +2 to her attack flips.

    pg 134 
    Kunai has the weapon quality of Fan of Knives (above) is this an action, or something else?

    Given that I have 3 cards to discard, can I make 9 attacks and then have my normal 2ap (given I have enough Kunai) 
    If I have a draw a card if you fail a ranged attack, can I keep making them?

It is clear that the newer models and crews in the game have significantly stronger abilities and powers compared to some of the older ones, making the latter seem underpowered and less desirable to play. This is especially apparent with the "Academic" and "Elemental" keywords, which seem to have been overshadowed by others.

    To address this imbalance and make the game more enjoyable for all players, I suggest an overhaul of these keywords, as well as a review of any other underperforming keywords in other factions. This would not only encourage players to utilize their existing models more, but also help to revitalize older models and make them more competitive. By doing this, Wyrd would not have to invest in new sculpts and moulds, while still keeping the game fresh and engaging for players.

    PS: I agree with what you've said it's more "Guru" than "Academic" and they changed the word "Elemental" from 2nd ed's "Gamin"

I have been a fan of Sandeep and the Academic keyword and associated models for a while now, but I have noticed that the theme and powers of these models do not seem to accurately represent the academic concept. While I appreciate the Indian subcontinent aesthetic of many of these models, I feel that it does not necessarily align with the academic theme. Instead of revising the models themselves, I propose that it might be good to consider revising the cards and stats of these models to better reflect the academic theme. 

    Additionally, I have noticed that the Oxfordian Mage, a six Soul Stone (6ss) mini, which is the only model with the Academic keyword that does not have an Indian subcontinent aesthetic, is somewhat underpowered compared to other mages/caster minions, such as the Guild Mage and other 5, 6, and 7ss cards. I would suggest adjusting the powers of the Oxfordian Mage to better reflect the academic theme and make it a more viable choice for players.

    Finally, I have also noticed that many other factions mini's do fit the Academic keyword slightly better, could we also perhaps look at adding the Academic Keyword to these Minis, who might be dual faction minions, henchmen, enforcers etc, and not just have Dual faction Masters. 

    What do other people think?

    Lohith certainly looks a model that might still be worth a look in non witness crews, card draw, solid body with access to soulstones and healing,  serious offence and easy access to positive flips. 11 ss is alot, but you get quite a bit for it.

    I wouldn't buy him for Sandeep alone without more experience,  but if I owned him I may well hire him on occasion, and if I regularly faced demise crews I may consider buying him. 

    Lohith, is 10SS +1 for out of keyword, isn't an elemental, or and academic, so no synergy there, plus he's more powerful than pretty much any of Sandeep's henchmen.
    Yes he is seriously powerful, has Kandara's main attack power, (thrown knives) and as you say healing, card draw, and soulstone. 

    For Sandeeps crew to get the similar powers he has to hire an SVG for a hard to get Card draw, Kandara for the attack with teleport (but harder to get, suit vs doing serious damage), and an Oxfordian mage to get a bit of healing. 

    Compare the new witness hire 
    Dabbler 5ss, and compare it with Oxfordian mage 6ss 

    At this rate, why play Sandeep at all, the witness seems to be doing a lot of what Sandeeps crew can do, but more efficiently, cheeper and with more synergistic features.

  5. I've fought with Raspy, Reva (3 times) and got wiped out due to her burning shenanigans and the fact that she has Vincent St Clare?
    Reva destroyed any Gamin, and her crew just healed, got really frustrated, as any burning on most of her crew was immediately turned into :+flip twists on every dual.
    I couldn't keep up. 

    Really could do with some advice on how to play Sandeep 1 & 2 as I'm obviously doing something wrong, as I could hardly compete with the synergy her team had. 
    My Mantra's weren't cutting it as it affects elementals (or the model itself). I felt out gunned, out magiced, and our mantrad. it's either that, or Sandeep's could do with a buff.

    Another option is purchasing second hand - a lot of the FB groups sell assembled models.

    Our group is small, We're in New Zealand, and they have the same difficulty.

    Yeah, others are just using some other companied mini's as they 1. already have them, 2. were ready assembled, or 3. are getting 3d printed minis done now. 

     

  8. Yeah, I might get her to take a new spell-like manifested power but have a similar effect. 
    Perhaps Terrifying aura but make it Intimidate+Tenacity based, reduce it down in range to 3 yards, and thus bring it back to TN: 8 
    this would give her a near similar thematic effect, that would last 1 minute. 

    What do you think of keeping it as a Terror dual, or bestowing the Terrified Condition, so that her subsequent bully abilities will work on it.

    I don't think that the "New Manifestation" Talent can be used like that regardless, as it specifies that it can add Immuto to a "Manifested Power spell", which I'm pretty sure should say "Spell-Like Manifested Powers" (Into The Steam is occasionally a little outdated and wonky with it's rules and terminology).

    You should be able to use the Triggered Immuto Talent, but I expect that you'd want to be able to use one of the other Triggers that are available in the Bully Pursuit, unless you haven't picked any of them? The Wastrel and Collaborator Pursuits both get Talents that allow you to declare two Triggers on a single action/attack, so you could go that rout, or maybe get a version of one of those Talents as a destiny step?

    Other than all that, there's always the Tradition Magical Theory, but that would make all the Manifested powers that you got from the Mage Pursuit less efficient.

    Yeah She is looking to put the New Manifestation as her step 0 as one and then take the other as her step 1. 
    as both can add an immuto with out adding a TN, so no TN for her pulse, 2 round, Terrorise power. 

  10. I have a Bully character who has jumped to Mage pursuit, and wants to boost her Terrorize manifested power. 

    Can she add Immuto to her power as it doesn't have a TN.  She want's to add  Increased Duration (TN +2) to make it last longer than 1 round, and to make it Pulse (TN+4)  so those around the initial target would have to make a TN10 Willpower test. 

    Can I let her do this, and would the TN now be TN=6? 

  11. Hey Wyrd, I love your sculpts and models, they are fantastic. 

    But please, please can we have a them cast in one piece, or at least have a second thread of models that are pre-made.  (like you did for the Other-side) 

    I love the game, the lore, and I want to PLAY more,  I'm not a good painter, just ok, but with the assembly they are getting too hard for my ageing hands...

    Can you help?

    If your talking about Conditions there is the General Talent

  13. When I was looking at my Commander Character: I noticed this weird interaction:

    Forgotten Lore (into the bayou) , a general talent that gives you a powerful grimoire (3 Magia and 3 Immuto)
    +
    Let Me Show You (core rules), a general talent which lets you teach another character a general talent for the day. 

    So with those 2 talents you can let anyone have a grimoire for a day, every day, and change it each time?

    What other wyrd combinations have you found. 

  14. It's a pity there aren't 

    Gamin with stats: SS4 minion 
    Golem with stats: SS8 enforcer
    and then upgrade cards for each of the elements:

    Each of the element upgrades would have the base stat increases and the effects of the attacks. 
    Poison: 1ss 
    Wind: 2ss
    Fire:  0ss
    Ice: 0ss
    Metal: 2ss

    Kind of like how Summoning Gamin works in Through the Breach (the rpg side of wyrd)
