  1. But now, I have a question. If a model is paralyzed, can it cheat for defensive triggers?
  2. It was the only way I could think of at the time... Because a paralyzed model still activates, any conditions with at the start/end of activation of this model (or turn) still apply ie.: burning, poison, haz terrain bubbles, etc.
  3. So this is what I understand of the Paralyze condition. When a model is paralyzed it forfeits its activation, then the condition is removed. If you gain it during your activation, it ends there. If you gain it out of activation, it ends at the end of the models next activation. 1: Sue activate, Harm for card, (0) ability Man in Black, 1AP attacks model and loses terrifying duel. Sue is paralyzed, Man in Black stays active until end of turn, activation ends and condition is removed. 2: Nures meds Sue, who has not yet activated. Sue is activated, forfeits his turn, activation ends and condition is removed. 3: Nurse meds activated Sue. Turn ends, all activated abilities end. Next turn Sue activates, forfeits turn, activation ends and condition is removed. Harm is an activated ability and could not be used, in the same manner as (0) abilities. Hard to Kill would still work, as it is a non-activated (passive) ability. Jack could still push and Obey him, if he is Tormented.
  4. So I have been using 5 of the 7 for a bit and I would like to hear your opinions on my assessment of them. Wrath is a flank/bully beatstick. He is not survivable enough to rush headlong into an engagement with 1 or 2 simlilarly stat'ed models. Run him up the weak flank and beat down on minions. If a Rotten Belle is a queen of board control, Lust is a knight. She can really come out of left field and mess your opponents plans up, but then getying her to her next objective may need more planning then a Belle. Greed is a finisher. She is a model I always try to have a Ram for her trigger. Keep her around your beatstick and make her fill up your purse, 'nuff said. Sloth is no Jakunna, but that is not what he wants. He wants to engage an enemy and then have Lust invite that enemy's friend over for a play date. Preferably one that has yet to activate. And then he can show those models the virtues of an afternoon siesta. Or Bunny FuFus them upside the head for the same. What? I have a daughter... Envy... Is a trap of a great model. If you do not pay attention and allow home to wander to close to the engagement to soon, since he likes leering over others shiny baubles, he paints a HUGE bullseye on the top of his bowler. That being said, giving his focus to a trapper on the first turn for long range shot to the dome is a great way to ensure a flying gremlins stay the bloody heck away. Dirty, dirty Gremlins...
  5. Good (Part of the day) everyone, My name is Lamont, i'm married 3 kids and a lifelong gamer. How lifelong you ask? I've played asteroids and defender in 7-Eleven, to Xbox 360. Redbox D&D to 5.0. Magic the gathering in when everybody had a mox to realizing I didn't want to play in a game where Bad resource management wasn't punished anymore (Talking about mana burn.) so I traded my cards in for Store credit, and went looking for a game I can play. I liked the look of GW's games and had even played their fantasy RPG (which I thoroughly enjoyed!), but quickly realized that my store credit would not be enough to be a competitive opponent. Right next to the big board game was another smaller, skirmish level game. I watched them play it out, yelled out abilities to each other, we all laughed at the titles to them and I walked myself back to the malifaux and got Perdita and the family. That started me out in 1.5 and we had a torrid love affair. Life started to encroach and then I played against the bane of my gamer existence Hamelin. I stopped playing for awhile, but recently hiosted up the 2.0 Outcast banner and have been loving the game all over again. It helps that I can do a passable Johnny Cash for my Man named Sue.
  6. You should read Pantzer's Jack Daw Project. There is a lot of good information and battle reports. I'm also running Daw and using a more elite crew in the Crossroads 7. I'm finding out that Jack can use a large variety of crew members that can be tailored to the mission at hand. I have found a cache of 4-6 is something I can work with, but I also tend to use Greed of the 7 who can get me 1or 2 more in a duel. Sue is great. I have only used him twice, but activating abilities in the manner of Johnny Cash is some fun.
  7. Probably not the greatest healer, but Greed can give a healing flip at the cost of a soul stone. With her once a turn she can gain that stone.
