  1. I am terribly sorry guys, but due to some unexpected financial difficulties I won't be able to attend
  2. As @thatlatinspeakingguy has noted before, Torakage works wonders with McCabe and the sabre, that +/+ for Ml actions is incredible, especially if they also get Reactivate. I've had them score Quick Murder or kill A&D and Ashen Core on the first turn (I don't care if they die afterwards, provided it is within McCabe's 10" bubble). With other masters, they are indeed mediocre - not terrible, but they die way too easy and there are definitely better choices available.
  3. I'd like to invite everyone to I Pay Better - 50 ss fixed faction Malifaux tournament in Krakow, Poland. It will take place on Saturday, July 22nd in Vanaheim store on Lubicz 34/6 in Krakow. 4. So far, 3 people coming from Krakow and Tarnow: Leszek Dziubek a.k.a. Lakshman Bartłomiej Staszczyk a.k.a. Stasiek Jacek Obłaza a.k.a. Squido EDIT: One more: Michał Wencel
  5. Oh, you've put badge of speed there twice (both on McCabe and emissary) in your example. This confused me a little. If you do take the saber, then the point about triggers makes sense. I'm curious how it will perform, can't wait to read your thoughts after a few games!
  6. Out of curiosity, how do you plan to use Recalled Training on McCabe? It's an upgrade I have never considered on him. He doesn't gain much in terms of damage (difference between weak and severe flip is just 2 and he already dishes out a lot of damage with proper use of critical strike), attack flip is already on thanks to Promises, so is Wp flip, so the only flip that can really benefit a lot from RT seems to be Df flip, and that just for one turn. True, with 3 attacks he stands to gain 6 damage if he flips 3 severes instead of 3 weaks, but that is assuming best case with RT and worst case without it. I'm not saying it's not good, but the gain is not as obvious as with many other models - I'd probably consider having Glowing Saber instead, as response to any armored threats around.

  10. I find her to be a wonderful solution against Resurrectionists and in general summoning masters (she was good at that even before errata/GG17). She can put a lot of pressure right from turn 1 and drain enemy's resources (between the assassinate trigger, Misdirection or Broken Promises and general high cards needed to hit her), making summoning difficult, and she is harder to get rid of then they expect (I usually take her with 3-4 ss in cache, sometimes even 5). She can either try to kill the master or pick off the summons as they appear, and I can imagine you could use downburst now to try and spoil positioning for some opponents. And since the opposing player will usually focus on trying to remove her, the rest of my crew gets some time to get into key positions and start scoring.
  11. I'm pleased to invite everyone to the Heart of the Dawn, Malifaux Tournament in Krakow, Poland on February 25th 2017. It will be a 45 ss fixed faction event with 3 rounds. We will use GG 2017. Entry fee is 15 PLN, and the registration will start at 9:30 AM. If you wish to attend, please contact me via PM. All the details are provided here: https://www.facebook.com/events/247479672358605/
  12. Actually, Torakage is one of my best performing models. Just not in Misaki Crew. One Torakage can work wonders in McCabe's crew, carrying the Glowing Saber (thanks to positive twist to attack and damage when there are no friendly models within 3"). As for the original post, some of those models are still very much viable, though maybe not the best possible options. I use Oiran quite regularly, but I tend to treat them as scheme runners. True, they are not as versatile as Brothers, but with Hidden Agenda upgrade to make them fast, they can sometimes do great. And it for 's good to have a single Oiran when playing Neverborn/Resurrectionists, for that +1 WP aura. Izamu is also still very much viable, especially since he's considerably cheaper than Yasunori and has a built in to damage flips. Misaki herself is my go to master against Resurrectionists - if supported with some model that can provide a push on turn 1/2, she can really put the opponent under pressure.
  13. I'm pleased to invite everyone to the VIII Gaining Grounds league in Krakow, Poland. You can register until 11.02. We will play 5 two-week rounds. 14. Resurrectionists' Transfusion upgrades states "This model gains the following Tactical Action: (0) Tranfusion...". However, rulebook states that tactical actions are not opposed duels and aren't resisted by the target model. Is transfusion supposed to be an Attack Action? How does it interact with abilities that modify attack flips (like Yin's Mass of Viscera)?
  15. I doubt that. For many it will actually be an incentive to see the game is constantly supported by Wyrd.
  16. While I'm quite happy to hear that, I urge you (as both translator and gamer): please, please, do invest in translators with background in gaming (or at least proper proofreaders). Certain large and recognizable wargaming publisher has a history of unsuccessful translations into Polish. Some of the translations were simply funny to read, others contained blatant errors in rules translations that changed how the game was played. In the end, most players simply preferred the English version. I have great faith that Wyrd would never allow such a thing to happen, but I'd just like to point that out in advance. And now I'll just go and pledge my sou... I mean my money to you.
