  1. Mucho gracias to the OP of the thread. Placed an order that night. Good thing too, as the lone swordsman appears to be out at the moment. Now I get to wait for it
  2. Perhaps an explanation is needed. My local Malifaux store has a Tara box in store. I play Outcasts. (misaki, Viks, Schills as of now). Everytime I'm in the store, that box keeps calling my name. But I'm afraid I won't "get" her playstyle. She buries, makes things fast or slow iirc, has cool ugly scheme runners and a cthulu beast and some weird totem lady. I'm thinking/guessing I could drop in the strongarm suit/Taelor, and bomb them at the enemy while messing up the opponent models. Should mention I have Lady J and her death marshalls so there's that, so the crew is doable in a couple ways. To me she seems suit intensive, and all sorts of tricksie, which I'm not sure I'm ready to pull of yet in a game of malifaux.
  3. what the devil is it? And more importantly, are there rules for this beauty?
  4. Aight, so I just thought I'd recap it. You can get witchling stalkers in their own box, unless you subscribe to the idea that if you going to get stalkers/death marshalls, you should just get the crew box. That's just a train of thought some have. ( this applies to me) Unless you think Sam is better than Frankie enough to warrant getting the Criid box, this is an option. The Latigo box has many good pieces that you can use. Papa, Frank and 'Dita, are all awesome. Heck the whole crew is useful, save maybe Nino.
  5. You can't go wrong with Sonnia really. Stalker are good as you noted. I would look at the Ortega box as well. Do Francisco and papa loco if anything. Papa is awesome with death Marshall's and Frank can help lady J. Perdita isn't too shabby herself.
  6. Thx for the advice. I'm aware a melee crew would be paste my crew, but its for scheme running. If there's gonna be a rumble, I've got a crew for that. Agree that guild suck for healing, outside the Proxy, but he's a totem not called Luna, which is key for this whole idea, risky business relying on a totem me thinks. The numbers of hounds and austringers could change with playtesting the crew. Stalkers are good, too bad they're so slooooow. Their condition removal range makes up for it. What worries me is that there is nothing "killy" in the crew, in my eyes.
  7. I would imagine that the upgrade that gives LJ unimpeded would be ace. Unless your games are played on mostly wide open tables, which i doubt.
  8. Hey all, I'm in the midst of building a crew for my guild that's basic purpose will be running scheme, erevomthe title. So far the crew is McCabe, Luna his totem, 3 or 4 guild hounds and an austringer, possibly 2 once they come out. Anything else I should add. I currently have the old Latigo posse box, sonnia and justice boxes to toss in the mix if needed. Any tips would be appreciated. Cheers
  9. I give this advice to anyone who asks this question, regardless of the system. Buy what you would want to paint, and fits what you style of gameplay you like to have. I would trust what the posters have posted above, as they are more experienced than I am, if you're looking to be slightly more effective
