  1. The little guy should come out in a month now, so I had the curiosity to look at his profile in the third book. He seems to be a real push for any Tara crew. Few examples :

    • Burry him and get a whole horde of void wretches make 1/4/7 Ca6 attacks instead of the 2/3/4 Ml4 they usually have (thanks to Whispers from the Nothing). Void wretches can heal the Scion with their Satiating void afterwards.

    • Summon a horror with Karina's The faces of Oblivion and the Scion of the void can unburry it in the next turn so that Karina can summon more horrors. Too bad this doesnt work on Killjoy...

    • You need to teleport him to the other side of the board ? Just burry him with a Death Marshall and make another minion unburry him where you need him to be with the Hollowing (through Whispers from the Nothing again).

I was wondering : as a way to burry the Scion of the void, can I ask Ama No Zako to use Promising Whisper on an enemy to make him target the Scion of the void and burry the Scion with Returning home ? If so, do I need the scion to be in range of the attack to target him ? Or can he be beyond range to be targeted ?

Interesting that Perdita is one of our faction's most played masters, but also least loved (although maybe sample size is too small to say anything).

Personally I found her a fun and powerful master to learn with, but not interesting enough to inspire much devotion. Is that the general consensus?

Although I voted for McMourning, I pretty much enjoy the Mexican theme. It just that Perdita is not my favourite.

  3. Hi,

I'm about to acquire the Jack Daw crew box, so I've had a look at your battle reports. I have a question if you dont mind on this one:

You tormented Hanna, Johan and Strongarm in the very first turn with only one Guilty. How did you do? I see that with Hanna copying the Guilty's tormenting ability, you can torment a second character, but I can't see how you can torment the third guy.

Interesting, but i see a female character there :)

The legs look feminine indeed. Moreover I have the theory that Wyrd wants to rebalance the ratio of males to females among masters in each faction (thats why the arcanist is a male and the rest of the revealed masters are females).

Levi? With Mech Rider, Necropunk,  Howard Langston, Johan, Hodgepodge Effigy plus something and upgrades.

Alternatively take Pariah of Bone and two Belles, Doxy, Rusty, Lazarus and lure stuff towards you and shoot it till it's dead.

Which schemes do you have in mind with these lists?

I have the resin bases as well, Franchute.  I put the magnets between the plastic base and the resin insert.  I should have mentioned: I ordered lot of 1 mm thick magnets, which fit under most of the resin base inserts.  For some of the 40 mm and 50 mm with a wider gap underneath I either use two together, or go with a 1/16 inch magnet for more strength.  A few of the 30 mm bases end up sitting a bit higher than they should, but with lots of glue around the edges, you can get them set securely.

On the topic of basing with magnets, I have found a trick to keep the magnets well-pressed into the glue (I'm using Zap-a-Gap cyanoacrylite) while it dries.  I put another magnet on the other side of the base while it dries.  Just be sure you have the polarities lined up first, or you will have magnets covered in crazy glue jumping around.  :)

I bought a whole bunch of resin bases directly from the MicroArt Studio factory in Poland. Those come in one piece---the base and the insert are part of the same piece:

I had also bought the following box from an online shop. I have only a few of these. The insert and the base are separated:

I prefer the former because the quality of the "insert" is superior, but it bothers me that I am not able to put a magnet without making a hole. Now, it seems that you found some with the insert being resin and separated from the base (plus you have an smart trick of putting the magnet ;)). That sounds fantastic. Where did you get them?

    Edit: fixing my English.
