What about cutting out a little stair case (40mm x 40 mm) that can be placed upside down on the stairs to act as a platform for placing models on when they are half way up the stairs?

Badger (Minitaire) also has an airbrush ready matt varnish. I own some but havent used it yet...

Hooray, thanks Aaron.

Ah ha, I am wrong!

I may be mistaken, but if you were playing Lucius as Guild you wouldn't be able to hire the doppelganger as would have to declare your faction as guild and it is Neverborn and not a Mercenary...
Therefore, you would not be able to mimic these abilities.

The general concensus (as this question has been asked a few times) is that you have a choice to either base them together (although it's a bit squished) or you can base them separately and Wyrd kindly supplied you three cards, as the box is quite expensive for a single model.

PVA glue is mainly used for gluing porous materials (eg. Wood) so isn't very good at glueing Non porus plastics. I would think superglue would be the best option.

Just thought I'd get in while people are thinking about it. If you get the LE Performer in the Black Friday sale and would like to trade/sell it for some $$$ let me know
Cheers

You could paint the labyrinth in a negative color scheme ie. http://wyrd-games.net/community/gallery/image/3025-poltergeist-front-view/
-
That looks like street lights behind it leading to Malifaux City (and buildings in the foggy background too)
-
The canvas adds a bulk to the edges so the boards don't sit flush together. You could just trim the sides but it does leave a raw edge to the canvas that will fray.
-
I don't think a heavy weight would be better. The fabric is basically providing a framework for the silicone to adhere to and a heavier fabric would just add bulk/weight. The real strength/weakness would come from the thickness of the silicone.

This looks great, how durable is the mat, as I was going to do something similar for a snow board. If you embedded sand/flock into the caulk would it withstand rolling the mat up?

Being a person of vast imagination, average skills, and no time/money; when the need to build a modular table arose I needed a solution that would be both cost effective and time saving.
This is what I found:
(more details here http://montmarte.net/product/view/m-m-canvas-panels-pkt-2-30-5x30-5cm )
These come in a range of sizes but for my gaming table 3 feet x 3 feet. I’ll be using a set of 30.5 x 30.5cm which cost $2 each; $18 total.
Preparing the boards
Cutting the canvas and peeling them off reveals a hard cardboard surface. The adhesive used to glue the canvas leaves a slight fuzzy surface to the board, but this won’t cause us any issues as we’ll be sealing and covering the surface with terrain.
After removal vs before removal
There is some slight variation in the sizes of the boards > 1mm so some slight trimming may be required.
Next up, sealing the boards and planning the layout.- 2

Thank you. Now to start populating the terrain awesomeness.

Is it possible (and warranted) to have a subsection for showcasing and discussing terrain (construction, techniques, tactics etc) in the forums.
Thanks

Hi All, I came across this website while researching a terrain related topic and found that I read more and more pages. It is written by theatre model builders but it equally applies to our hobby, and has a wealth of information for beginner and more experienced terrain makers (I learnt a few new techniques).
Anyway, hope it helps:

I could see why they are on a bigger base as they are meant to be a non stop dancing/swirling mass of claws and manequinn, hence they would take up more real estate than the usual standing manequinn. My $0.02

That's awesome, I would steal the idea, but unfortunately Halloween isn't celebrated very much in Aus, and I doubt anyone would know who the dreamer was...

Actually I think cartoony might be quite in line with the architecture of the time.
