  1. email sent, thanks! (also never thought about spam bots- good thinkin!)
  2. I've secured hanging trees somewhere else- accepting paypal for whiskey golem
  3. Hey! If you don't have hanging trees, paypal is fine. I really like those models and missed out on them.
  4. Hello! NM Whisky Golem (verified parts are there, otherwise untouched) :$70 + $5 shipping to USA (international I would have to figure out) SOLD Miss Ery : $20 OR Guild Riflemen
  5. nice work- i really like the koi in the water
  6. The card art is the miss ery art. The name on the card is Teddy. The sprue says "Bad Teddy". But MY guess is if Wyrd says it's the miss model, it's the miss model.
  7. it is simply "opalescent" origami paper found at Michaels. Punched out, edged black, glued down. I wanted a simple ethereal surreal trippy base for the dreamer crew. It is a bit hard to tell but it changes color depending on the light hitting it and the angle you are to it. super simple but I really like it. I tried sealing it like if I were to do a water effect, but I didn't like it as well as this. It covered too much of the color change. LCB is standing on mosaic glass blocks from Michaels. I broke some up to make it a bit more interesting. I then did a very thin teal glaze.
  8. Again thank you Mako! I was totally wrong about my shadows going well. I thought my highlights are the issue, but I'm pretty sure it's the shadows. So MOAR Shadows! Part of the Hide and Seek Crew uh oh...paint splatter....BRB. Overhead Lighting for Chompy and starting gremlins while finishing alps Anyways I'm working hard starting at the midtone, highlighting, shading, glazing back some midtone, shading, shading, and making things smooth. Comments and tips really appreciated!
  9. Crappy Iphone pic. These are huge and awesome. Very awesome. Chompy bits is super sharp-if my fingers were not coated with super glue from piecing together the swinging hillbilly like an idiot- he woulda drawn blood.
  10. On the side bar of the site, this thread pops up with an abbreviated title that only uses it until the first three letters of assembly. I approve. If you like the game like I do, get lots of puppets. You never know what you will come up with and if you are supplying for your opponent- it is nice to have more options for both players.
  11. Thanks! I took inspiration from other people's pics on here for the transitional human-darkness illuminated. Turned out pretty neat I think. Here are some better pics of my McMourning Crew
  12. That's All folks! I did these all in the last month. HAVING A BLAST!! Please, tips and critique appreciated!!
  13. Dr. Steel has some gothic steampunk stuff. Second on the Tom Waits nod. Dr. Steel song that I've always wanted to do a puppet wars video to : http://youtu.be/FQeI0KZBcUQ I freaking love this cover : http://youtu.be/l2S4GTD-AAw
  14. TL;DR I think there is plenty of lore to read on the website. Very easy to navigate to. More website updates would be nice, a little outdated (download section on website shows Chronicles 9 when we are on 11). ->History ->Factions Both give a nice intro. Then we have -> Downloads And look! 9 free downloadable magazines with pictures, information, lore, stories, painting tips, models, fan pics, and more. Really there are now 11 of these free downloadable magazines. They just started asking for more pictures to show off their cool miniatures and fan work. This forum has an entire sub forum on people's painted miniatures. The grey renders show the detail of the minis, some research online shows you what can be done with it. AND THEN there is a link to this forum. Which is a wealth of knowledge. That the staff is completely part of. That is cool. I don't agree that you need access to all the lore for free. Buy their product and show your support. There is interest in the lore and maybe they will publish the old lore that was in the earlier rulebooks. That would be neat. When I get to shopping for a new novel, I really like it when there is a preview chapter available so I can get a flavor of what the book is about, and how the author writes. I don't get peeved when they only show me one chapter. If I like the style, I invest in the first book. If I like it, I get the rest of the series. I am very impressed with Wyrd as a company overall. I've had nothing but good experiences. This company is so involved with their fans it is ridiculous. They have completely overhauled not one, but two of their large divisions, and come out with an RPG, and a really awesome boardgame, and (3?) card games in the last YEAR. While attending trade shows, yada yada yada. (oh and when they go to event's like gen con--they give the same sales online- so people that aren't able to come can still benefit and not feel left out. how cool is THAT!) Yeah, they could benefit from having more regular updates to the sites, but they are awesome enough to maintain a malifaux site, a puppet wars site, a forum, and maintain a presence on boardgamegeek.com. Give them some wiggle room. Yep, I'm a fan. This is a really neat company. I fell in love with puppet wars, then took a risk on evil baby orphanage (and loved it), and finally in the last couple months have dove right into Malifaux. I guess I'm wondering why the OP is so invested in questioning Wyrd's marketing and PR. And I find the caps, and the passive aggressive icon, and the first post entirely more confusing than perusing a website with a simple side bar navigation.
  15. Thanks! I thought I was correct, but I didn't want to assume. Aaaand I just found the answer in another topic too under new players forum. Thank you for clarifying for me!
  16. I have a question on this too if someone could help me out-- the TN is 10 + 3 tome for each spider. I'm sure it has been covered but I couldn't find it and I am very new (had my first game yesterday) and didn't find it. Two spiders is 16 tome tome or is it just 16 tome. Thanks!
  17. Hi! I've attended Gen Con the last couple of years and really like what Wyrd has put out each time. I finally ordered a few sets that I thought I would like to play and that friends would enjoy. I've completed painting and assembling one set (http://wyrd-games.net/community/topic/98495-doctor-lucky-paints-1st-crew-done/) and will be getting the other two done by Gen Con. So how does it work? Are things mainly event based (with tickets and such) or is it set up as more of a "come and play with us" in the miniatures room. Last year I watched a couple guys play and they were nice enough to explain the game as they pummeled each other. I'm thinking I remember a "Learn Malifaux" type event and I will sign up for that, but I guess I am asking if the miniatures area is newb friendly or more competitive? My local store doesn't run Malifaux and I'd like to learn from players than just the rule book and an event or two, but I wouldn't want to show up and ruin someone's afternoon by not knowing the subtle strategies and nuances well enough to play a great game. Thanks!
  18. Going to be on for the next few hours if anyone is interested in getting some games in
