I missed the opportunity for taunting as I sent my gift direct from Element Games. Haven't heard from my recipient yet but I hope they got and liked it!

If you're looking for places in the UK I can highly recommend Element Games. If you order something that is in stock, before 3pm (UK time) they will dispatch it the same day. And they send everything in the UK on a 24 hour service so as long as the postal service co-operates you will receive your order the next day. Obviously shipping to Europe will take a little longer but I would still recommend them highly.

So is out Giftee also our Gifter? Or will we receive a parcel from someone other than the person we sent one to? Either way is exciting (Mail! I love getting Mail!) but I was just wondering ;D

So I've been keeping myself amused recently by painting a crew for a friend of mine who doesn't have a lot of spare time at the moment. The only problem with this is that he plays Guild, and my Gremlin-playing self is not down with that. I'll never get the smell off my hands..... First on the table to be done - 3 Latigo Pistoleros.

A few more minis finished! My second go at the Terrible Twins - Alt Viks: Vik of Blood Vik of Ashes And some more Neverborn. Lelu: And FINALLY finished Widow Weaver!

Thanks! I tend to use washes - either brown/black for general shadows or for something like Wong's hands I used a green wash, highlighted back over with the base colour, then highlighted with a lighter green and then on the raised bits a few very thin layers of yellow glaze. And on Coppelius, he was a basecoat of blue, wash of dark blue, then a pale blue-grey drybrush to pick up the wrinkles and bumps in his hands.

So after returning briefly to my first love, Gremlins, I've taken a wander back over to the Dark Side. I hear they have cookies.

Had a bit of a break from Malifaux painting but I did manage to get a couple more Gremlins painted: Master of Magic - Wong And my take on the Gremlin with the Biggest Hat:

Not got a lot of Malifaux stuff done recently, but I have begun my descent into the dark side and painted a couple of my Neverborns! Baby Kade: Candy: Technically these (along with my Iggy) will be mostly used for my Hamelin crew, but I'm basing them to match the rest of my Neverborn.

Is the company called Black Cat Bases? Only reason I ask is because even though their stuff is pretty good quality for the cost - a combination of illness and computer issues have meant that their orders can take at least a month to reach you. Just wanted to throw that out there in case you needed the stuff in a rush for a deadline.

Been sidetracked with some other stuff recently - but I wanted to share my latest Malifaux mini:

"Dammit Alyce, this dress leaves NOTHING to the imagination! Also, do you KNOW how hard it is to run in heels?!"

I don't know enough about a Master to confidently write an entry - but I will offer my proof-reading skills once entries are complete. Sometimes a fresh pair of eyes can pick up that tiny mistake the writer has skimmed over.

The end is neigh.....with less than 24 hours to go the Evil Pony Kickstarter has achieved funding! So if you were on the fence about pleding because you weren't sure it'd make it, go forth and give them your money! Also as a final update here is the War Pony from the Apocalypse set: And when he had opened the second seal, I heard the second beast say, Come and see. And there went out another horse that was red: and power was given to him that sat thereon to take peace from the earth, and that they should kill one another: and there was given unto him a great sword. A tad dramatic perhaps, but no-one said the apocalypse was going to be cute!

More painting for a friend, then I might start on my Ronin. I'm also desperately trying to help a KS I backed get funded (hint hint check News and Reviews!) but other than that I've not go much planned.

I hope it's OK for me to bump this one! No specific update at the moment, but the guy behind the KS is hoping to have one more finished green up on the KS page before it finishes! Speaking of which, there's about 70 hours to go and the KS needs about £700 to get funded! It's totally doable so if you've been on the fence about pledging then go, go Gadget pledgers!

2 more updates! First, a prototype of one of the "Witch Ponies" And a prototype of one of the skeleton ponies! I guess that makes it a.....BONY PONY! Heh..ehe....<crickets> The other update is that as an incentive to try and get the last £1300 or so that the project needs, the creator is now officially unlocking the stretch goals! If you're above a certain level you will receive both the stretch goal figures. If you are below the limit then you will receive one of them at random - with the option to add £3 to your pledge to get both. So what ARE these stretch goals? Well first we have Dr Pones' research assistant Roquefort and then the eeeeeeviiilll Pony of Shadows Another thing that's come out is that there are a couple of fans working on official rules for using pony armies in both a tabletop and an RPG setting. The tabletop rules are based on Of Gods and Monsters and the RPG ruleset was (I believe) a pony themed module for Pathfinder. There is also at least 1 fan-written D&D style rulebook out there. So if you were worried that the minis would do nothing other than sit on your shelf and look pretty - well now there will be some actual rules to use them with!

Just wanted to bump this with another WiP. This is Doctor Pones (geddit? geddit?!) the archaologist pony and free to all KS backers! Ponies.....why did it have to be Ponies?!

I just wanted to post a few pictures if that's OK and so people can see what kind of things the guy has come up with: As you can see he'a made pegasi, unicorns and regular ponies. They're solid pewter and really well scuplted! Hmmmmm these MIGHT look familiar....? The brave band of Adventurers! There's a Thief, Paladin, Bard, Barbarian, Enchantress and a Wizard. There are also a King, Queen and an Evil King with awesome bat wings! There were also war ponies, some foals, a zebra shaman and a dragon - pictures of which can be found on the KS page or by going to the Slap Miniatures website. And this is the first WiP shot of one of the new ponies for this KS. He's hoping to post more WiP of the different ponies before too long.
