One thing to note is Seamus is incredible at Outflank if there's terrain for it.

7" away from the corner table edge? How so?

I think because the marker just has to be in 3" to the models who have to be in 3" to the centerline edge/corner - it actually could even be more than 7" if you use every millimeter, depending on base sizes.

The Catalan Brawler unlocks a lot for the Viks. I think he can even make them viable for Public Enemies. Making your squishy masters un-attackable and you have 3 models that can generate extra attacks (and with stats of 7 and 6 so you can get them off).

    What model is this?

    Mistakes that I know of:

    • Bete Noire unburying in deployment zone, could have claimed the turf war marker and just really secured the game.
    • Sybelle didn't plan for and use I've Got Your Back and lost an entire activation with Seamus because of it.
    • Whatever the turn 5 mistake is that I forgot.

Overall, we had Kharnage who was an expert with his crew and knew every in and out of every model. On the other hand, we had me who was an expert in the individual models, but not in the crew and how they worked together. However, combined with my teching and planning, I managed to put together a good fight despite not having technical perfection.

That game was a blast to watch, wish that I would have seen it a few days ago, it reminded me a lot of my recent Seamus vs Marcus game^^

Would you be so kind and be able to talk a little bit more about your thoughts going in the game against Nekima?

Why did you you pick the models you had in there, especially Bete?

Played against a Sybelle that was pretty incredible. I seriously rate the model now.

Dead Rider can reap stuff into her, nurse can daze trigger people into Sybelle, Seamus can daze or terrorize, etc...

There's just so many ways to take actions that were already good and change them into actions that also give distracted.

She can now start and try to tarpit a lot of different models which she wasn't able to do before - even with less actual health.

I liked her very much in the game I had her so far after the errrata and will run her more often in the future.

Bete's bonus action to unbury and charge...

Technically she can use it when not buried, so she can just get a free charge by consuming a corpse anywhere on the field.

Ah I see, very interesting, and now I get why you guys expected an errata on that.

Thank you for the fast reply.

I had a vague thought about that you have to be able to resolve the whole action though?

Yeah, I think I'm going to have to talk to my TOs and see about getting this adopted as the standard, since it has been left in the game and is RAW. But I'm a bit biased since I play bete 😜

Sorry to have to ask, but what is this Bete thing you guys are referring to?

I finally gave this list a test run tonight: Mah, Lass, 2x Test subject (coffee), 2x Rooster, 2x bushwhackers

Game was: Flank, Idols, Assassinate, Deliver, Detonate, Claim Jump, Dig Graves

    Vs Tara

I took Claim Jump and Dig Graves. The plan with the test subjects was to put a Trap in the middle of the board and Claim Jump with the Test Subject and just have it jitter in the middle for the game. The other was meant to go chase down idol markers.

I lost the game, but the Test Subjects were phenomenal. At one point I had a test subject up to 22 DF which is hilarious. He attacked Nothing Beast and never once cared about theTerrifying check. So, I think this is a solid tech piece to add into a Tricksy crew when you want to hold a point forever.

How did it get to 22 def if it loses injured at the end of the round?

    What happened there? Oo

  8. I'll come back to Guild when the feeling that I know what a model did in 2e doesn't hamper my m3e games anymore 😛

Third edition seemed like the perfect excuse to go back to Gremlins and try something new, but threads like this urge me to come back to hopefully "prove" that you can do well with the faction.

Also want to thank you guys for keeping the forum section alive with discussion :)

Unreleased models are a big problem (Dashels and Lucius Box /Keyword Models mainly) but other than that it sounds a lot like the threads back in second about the lacking competetiveness of Guild.

Looking forward to playing them again soon ^^

(it's a shame that I despise so many of Hofmanns current models, fingers crossed for a new box set soon :D )

It's weird that you write "are treated as Sz0 models only for the purposes of drawing LoS and nothing else" when drawing line of sight is almost all of the purpose of Sz for models.

    The rules for Markers say:

For all other situations (such as trying to measure distance), the first bullet point of Markers applies:

so that they're effectively Ht 0 unless otherwise specified.

As the rules are currently written, if you have an Xmm marker physically placed underneath the base of Ymm based model, where Y is greater than X, then the rules concerning intervening objects with Height is the only thing that matters.  That means that a 40mm Ht 1 model standing on top of a 30mm Corpse Marker on the ground does not block line of sight to that corpse marker to anyone taller or more elevated than the model.  (So a Ht2 model or a Ht1 model standing on Sz terrain can see the marker.)

Emphasis is on "model" - markers are only treated as "models" when drawing LoS, and for nothing else.

You couldn't normally stand on top of a model, that's why the problem doesn't occur in any of the examples in the LoS section.

And yes, that's how it's currently written, I honestly think it should be changed though.

  10. Just now, Rob Lo said:

Under the Markers section, pg 28, is:

so in that case, size of either model doesn't matter.

I know, but my Question is, say, my 40mm sz 2 model stands on top of the 30mm marker, and your sz3 model wants to target the marker.

Because my model is of a lower sz than yours, it's ignored for the purposes of drawing LoS to the marker, even though it's base covers all of the marker and even more.

Problem is that markers are treated as sz0 models only for the purpose of drawing LoS and nothing else...

    1.  shouldn't you have 5 schemes?

    2.  for cheap Infamous models, have you tried Flying Piglets?

    3.  CONGRATULATIONS!!!!!  The Forgotten are a rough crew.  Everyone keeps touting The First Mate's abilities, but he kept failing me... maybe I should givve him either try.

What was it that didn't work on the Mate for you?

I've liked him a lot in every single game I brought him :)
