My experience with Beckoners comes from playing Lynch and Zoriada. Their cost is high if you compare them to the other lurers in Belle's and Oiran but the price is justified due to the other abilities they have. They synergize brilliance with themselves with Don't bite the hand, Sweetest fare and The party never ends but the main difference they have and i feel where the value lies is Not that kind of girl. For 1 AP you get a lure and she can push herself around making her very effective at pulling her own crew forwards, especially if you have a way of getting her forward without using her own AP. Combined with the Doppelgänger you have quite a lot of luring potential.

I don't think i've seen that one, might have to give it a watch. Another i forgot about is Wolverine, the bad guys suit looks like Izamu the Armour.

Has anyone else noticed some Malifaux type characters appearing on tv or in movies. Today i watched 47 Ronin and the scene where Keanu Reeves fights a creature in the pit is a dead ringer for Killjoy, also in this weeks episode of Vikings when Athelstan looks under his bed he sees Huggy.

Double walk them forward turn 1 then Laz can use his 0 for PFM, turn 2 move the gamin into the right position then PFM the Gunslinger. It can be a bit fiddly keeping them all in the 3" bubble but i've found having Df 6 on the 2 models coupled with the gunslingers quick draw makes the opponent generally want to be rid of the gamin first. If possible i try use Laz to block los to the gamin though usually by turn 4 the bubble bursts due to them having to do other things. It does offer a good deal of board control and is useful for turf war and Reckoning though maybe not as good for reconnoiter.

Engage at will with Rusty Alyce and from the ether to summon an abomination per turn providing you get the right cards.

Ama no Zako's obey is good as the samurai can't hurt himself if the shoulder Gatling is obeyed to fire.

So i have been playing it wrong, mostly to my own detriment. Just to clarify the correct ruling. If i flip a card but don't get the suit e.g. An Oiran's lure without the crow and my duel total is higher, then the opponent cheats first knowing the lure isn't going off unless i cheat in a crow or can choose not to cheat hoping i don't have the crow.

If an action doesn't achieve success it would need to be cheated first in order for it to succeed regardless of duel totals.

What you mentioned sounds good, the Wyrd and Blackscorpian should be enough to get a town going. How about guild hounds as dogs? Blackscorpian mexicans would make fine Latigos and the Esmeralda II a female Franciso. I used the cowgirls 2 as family.

If your partial to dropping a lead lined coat you could afford an Austringer, Nino or Pathfinder, all of which have their own annoyance value something of which i think your crew lacks.

Blackscorpian make 32mm western and pirate which fit in. i have some and they are good quality and about the right size.

I play 10T Mei though have not used McCabe yet. The main thing that stands out as missing are shooting models that ignore engagements such as the 10T archers, Hans and McTavish with his mobile soft cover. Ama No Zako's severe terrain bubble help's delay models and archers can fire into the melee. The Dawn Serpent is a powerful minion for McCabe to work with, i think DS is released this month. Maybe a couple less schemers and 1 more beatstick.

Something came up in a game today and i am seeking some clarity on the intention of Fuhatsu's ability Braced in regards to Tangle Shadows. Does it work on him, is a place considered a movement effect? We played that Tangle Shadows worked on him though i feel differently after re-reading Braced.
