  1. As a henchman, I would love to see a short, big nosed hench model!
  2. Just think of the potential that will be provided by the multipose sprues that will be coming out in support of the 'Through the Breach' RPG, though. The possibilities there combined with a quick order of a stat card could be a pretty great boon for expanding box sets, or as an alternative to buying a whole box. And they'd be tournament legal.
  3. Heya folks, This one is still a go!! Bring those freshly painted models, or try out ours!!
  4. Thanks to everyone who came in to participate. Ed, thanks for putting out those tips for easy wet palette work. Get those models in action, next week gaming demos at Hypno! Saturday, 2-6pm.
  5. Just a reminder folks, bring your primed model for tomorrow's competition. Painting from 2-5, judging to follow. Open gaming as well.
  6. Just a reminder to my Southern California Malifaux folks, you've got a week to get your models ready!!
  7. Come out and learn to paint minis, or if you already know, show off you crews and inspire some new players to the hobby! Where: Hypno Comics 1803 E. Main Street Ventura, CA. 93003 (805) 651-9767 When: Saturday, February 23rd, 2pm- 6pm What: Sitting Ducky & Dunni will be hosting a painting workshop and competition. Bring a built and primed starter set, or portion therof, your painting supplies, and get your paint on with fellow gamers. Pick peoples brains, get new ideas, help or techniques, then use them to paint an award winning mini. There will be an award for the fan judged best painted model of the day, and a raffle for a runner up prize as well, thanks to the generosity of our host, Hypno Comics. The model must be a based Malifaux model, painted with a minimum of five colours, in a manner to enhance the overall appearance of the model. Model must be painted between 2pm and 5pm at Hypno Comics. Henchmen may not compete, but we reserve the right to vote to disrupt any tie breakers. And I'm sure there will be terrain and a board or two, in case you finish painting early and want to test your starter out on a 25 point match up. Just saying.
  8. For the record, this event was awesome, we had a great turnout, and we look forward to doing it again in March!!
  9. Some Lost Love action for Kirai. Next stop, Avatar of Vengeance.
  10. Now including freshly made and painted objective markers!!
  11. Just a reminder to all, this event is a go for tomorrow, come on out and join us if you're in the Southern California area!!
  12. SATURDAY!!!!!!!! Demo carnage! that is all.

  13. Second crew that I've finished in under a week. Now to pit them against my buddy's Lady J this week. Ouch time, just not sure for who.
  14. Thanks underdog!! I sense study time and trial and error in my future. Eyes have always been my bane. Painting skin as well. So this whole exercise has been about trial and error. Space marines and IG are so much easier to paint, but steampunk spaghetti western is way more rewarding.
  15. To expand the crew, i have a pack of Ronin that is halfway painted, as well as Sue. Advise on getting the eyes, other than good luck and a small brush? But today's project is my Ressurection crew, Kirai.
  16. Can't get these to go right direction. Damned old iPhone 3, way more comfortable with an Atari 2600.
  17. Technology and I don't get along.
  18. Thanks for the advice and kind words. I'm hoping the bases will be a temporary thing. I'm ordering the ghost town bases to go with them, but in the meanwhile, I think a bit of grass or weeds could definately be on the menu.
  19. I havn't painted in awhile. This is the first crew I've done for a game in ages.
  20. Come out and learn some Malifaux, or if you already know, show off you crews and inspire some new players to the game! Where: Hypno Comics 1803 E. Main Street Ventura, CA. 93003 (805) 651-9767 When: Saturday, February 2nd, 2pm- until the cows come home What: Sitting Ducky & Dunni will be doing Malifaux Demos, plus we'll have access to Terraclips terrain for some 25 point games.
  21. I don't know if its beginners luck, or what, but Bishop always seems to remove a lot more points worth of enemies than he cost me to hire. As long as I remember to activate him in the right order of actions.
  22. Greetings and salutations, Steve here, known by Dunni to most my friends. Parent of a twenty year old miniatures gamer, and five years old twins who I am subverting to the cause. I've been into gaming for 20+ years, still an average painter. I'm starting a game group with a buddy of mine at the local comic shop, and the strategies and story of Malifaux made it our priority! We also steal games at my house (20 years acquires a lot of gamer crap and what not, according to my wife). Currently running the Viktorias, but painting Kirai so we have extra crews to do some gamer demos in February. Drop a line if you find yourself coming through the beach at Ventura, CA.
  23. Please add: Player: Dunni State: California City: Ventura Store: Hypno Comics (www.hypnocomics.com) A couple friends and I are starting up a scene here and trying to get some interest going.
