  1. Wow! Glad i was up at 3.30 after i got your email. That sold out really quickly As always i will help with terrain. Will hopefully have more terrain by then seeing as how i am back playing faux full time now
  2. Thanks Its great to get some feed back. Basing is one of my favourite parts of the painting/modeling process. With regards to a focal point on minis. I usually don't aim for this per say. I do it a bit more subtly in this case it was the red waist band and pink hair. I was hoping the hair would have achieved this, but there isn't much of it. I think on my next model i will try get a strong focal point in one area and see how it looks. Thanks again for the great comments
  3. So here is the witchling handler again more colours of uncertainty for me as well as a skin tone i have never tried. Critique as usual is very much appreciated
  4. I have to admit my knowledge of izamu is very limited. Ice played against him twice once he had body guard on him (i guessed this by him being kept back) both times i made it a priority to smash his face before he did the same to me. He is a big target, i used to try avoid these in the last edition while using kirai. This made it harder for an opponent to prioritize his attacks on one model and instead try dismantle the whole crew. This is alot harder when it doesn't focus on a single model to pull the weight? Like i said these are observations from the previous edition. He is a kick a** model though Last edition i used to make punk zombies into spirits using lost love and sling shot them round the board. That was a lot of fun (well for me at least not so much my opponent) How are people playing molly? Are they always going for the sport summoning upgrade or do they change this depending on strats and schemes?
  5. Awsome. Cheers for the replies guys. Is there any other tacticas on the forums? Ive read the McMourning one and that was really useful. I guess the best way of figuring out how these masters play is by using. IM currently in a local fixed master league at my local club so will probably have to wait untill this is finished before i can do any extensive gaming with them. In the mean time ill be reading and re reading the stat cards and pull my finger Do people find these masters more useful for marker dependant srats/schemes? Just thinking about all the activations needed for summoning and summoned models being slow this probably wont be the case! Although i have been wrong before?
  6. I think your best bet is to go browse some of the longer running painting threads on here mako & viruk are my personal favorites and are both such genuine and nice people to chat to. They will offer painting advice that you would normally pay for in the like of the 'hot lead painting tutorials' etc for free. Purely because they can and want to help people enjoy a hobby the love as well. If after browsing the miniatures show case you still aren't feeling any love. Download the wyrd chronicles. Its wyrds version of white dwarf etc and yep you guessed again its free. Wyrd aren't given over to the mass consumerism like other games manufacturers. I guess they believe there products are good enough to not need a studio paint job and computer grafics to make there products look cool. Lastly if after this you are still undicided you can get the rules book (small) and 2 master starter boxes for about £50 give or take. Its the price of 2 units for most other war games. So take a gamble and invest some money and take the gamble. Worst case you don't like it. They end up on ebay and you will loose about 5-10% of the value if the are unpainted still 9/10 people wont be selling. They will be searching for local stockists'. Anyway sorry for going on a bit. I have recently returned to malifaux after about a year and a half away from the game and am loving the new rules once again. Finally welcome to the community and hope you enjoy your stay
  7. There are alot of players in York city as well. Not sure if that's any closer as i havnt lived here long myself. There are 2 clubs in the city that both play malifaux. Our local henchman @tigerstyle40k on twitter if you would like to give him a shout?
  8. So after a long hiatus from malifaux i am back. IM loving the new rules since passing through the breach again. IM looking at starting out with McMourning, Kirai and Molly as these are the models ive been able to beg borrow and steal (well maybe not the later) My current collection stands at; The 3 masters and there totems, Sebastian, Datsue ba Rogue necromancy flesh construct rotten belles necro punks punk zombies university of transmortis crocked man canine remains crooligans night terrors yin nurses shikome gaki onryo jaakuna umbame ikyrio possibly a few more knocking around. My main questions are how are people playing these masters this edition and what modelsdo people find work well? Any other tips and advice people can pass on? Looking to have an open discussion/debate on all things resser. Thanks in advance Underdog
  9. Cheers man. Ill try something a bit different on the next one. Ill be using the same colours just a few different techniques to make them all individual yet the same. I need some work on the osl. Ill try read up on it and have another go
  10. So im finaly back from Florida after taking my family away for 2 weeks and managed to finish of my witchling stalker. Not 100% convinced on this model, the way i pictured him in my head seemed alot cooler lol. Maybe im being over critical not too sure? Any way would love some feedback on how to improve. The sword is definately one of these! Hope you enjoy and look forward to hearing back from you all Underdog
