  1. Pg 52 in the big rulebook, the bit about conditions reads the following in the second paragraph: "Conditions presented without a value in their name do not stack, and a model that would get a second instance of a Condition simply ignores it (the second instance is not applied)."
  2. I thought slow didn't get cleared until the model ended it's activation?
  3. Does it? Cause the rules say that if you receive a second instance it's just not applied.
  4. I see. Hrm. Need to figure out whether I should pick up Twisting Fates and Storm of Shadows then to get updated on the fluff.
  5. Secondary question to that, what time does the me2 rulebook's lore take place in? Cause some of the fluff bits seem to suggest it doesn't take place at the same time at the first rulebook.
  6. So smother can give models activating near the Alps slow, but is the slow applied before the model receives AP? E.g. If a model with slow activate near an Alp, does it receive slow again and thus damage or not? Edit. Okay, rechecked some things, as I understand it this is how it goes: Model activates. Alp test triggers. Can't receive slow because still has slow. Generate 1 less ap. End of activation lose slow?
  7. Nice lighting effect on Pere Ravage~
  8. The tiles didn't end up working out that well painting wise, so I decided to just use an xacto knife and sculpting toles to make cobblestones myself. Pressed down on them with a rock afterwards to get a bit of a stone texture. I'm doing differently coloured washed on different stones to get a bit more variety in how the cobble looks. Still working on this base but should give an idea where it's going. Still need to do some washes to mute it down again.
  9. I've noticed that one of the big problems I have when painting miniatures is deciding what colours to use. I generally want to avoid using the Studio Schemes, but I just have no clue what colours fit together well and it often means I get frustrated with painting and put stuff aside. How do ya'll decide on what colours to use and how to make them fit together and such?
  10. Aaack, this looks cool. D: My poor wallet. ;.;
  11. (Apologies for the bad picture quality, had to borrow my dad's phone cause mine was being all stubborn.) So today my rulebook and relic hunters box arrived, even got a free me1 Freikorpsman with it. My ortegas are now fully assembled. It's not that Nino was that hard, I was just a bit surprised to have that many bits on a single model. I also started working on my bases. I didn't have any proper window screen bits, so I used this old pan cover to prevent grease from splashing all over you that my mom still had lying around. My greenstuff was also really hard from years of lying around, but it was still usable. Sadly the greenstuff had a tendency to stick a bit to the cover and I'm not used to working with it that much anymore, but I think the bases turned out alright for a first try. Now just need to wait for them to dry before I can start painting them.
  12. Thank you. I want to do something like this for the bases, the idea being that they're exploring a deserted building. I'm just hitting a bit of a blank on other things I can use to decorate the bases.
  13. Hi everyone, I recently decided to pick up miniature gaming again after a few years break, so I looked into Malifaux again. Ordered the Relic Hunters box and while getting some new paints this weekend also ended up picking up the new Ortega's box. (Nino is hard to assemble.) Can't take pictures just yet so here are a few pictures of the last model I painted before my break:
  14. I would say since they don't have to stat, they can't pass the duel and ergo fail by default. Makes the most sense fluff-wise too. Can't dodge the boiling water when you can't move.
  15. I've had succes running him in a Kirai Crew with the Spirit Beacon upgrade.
  16. Hi, I've been thinking of restarting Malifaux and I've been having a look at the Relic Hunters box, but as far as I understand even though they seem to be the new plastics this is still an Me1 box? Will I be able to use the models in Me2 or are they still going to get new ones?
  17. There's is also a lot of fluff in the Wyrd Chronicles which you can just download.
  18. Is the lore in the ME2 big rulebook the same as in the first ME1 rulebook or is it new stuff?
  19. Hi, I used to play Malifaux a few years back, but life stuff made miniatures get shoved aside for a while. I've been looking into getting back into Malifaux again, just have a few questions: 1. Which rulebooks are needed now? Is there still a big and a small one? If there's a big one does it contain stats / fluff? 2. Does anyone know of a European or non-European online wargames store that offers Malifaux and has decent shipping to Belgium? My local gaming store apparently doesn't stock Malifaux anymore.
  20. Does this mean the big ME2 rulebook is out now?
  21. I didn't even get a chance to read my friend's report about our game. :/
  22. The gems on that troll are really well done. How did you do those?
  23. Hi~ After a break of about a year because of life sorta taking over I've been feeling the itch to play and paint miniatures again. I've been playing Warmachine on Vassal but Malifaux is still calling to me and I miss taking out my brushes; so I've decided to at least make an attempt at getting some Malifaux minis painted. So far the only things I've painted are a Witchling Stalker an an Onryo, these are old ones though and my first priority is probably getting some new paints. :-P About the odd colour choices; I'm not good at picking colour schemes. I dislike going with the official ones because I like personalizing my miniatures but I'm really flaky at deciding what colours work well together and what style I want to aim for.
