Thanks for the welcome everybody. I'm so excited. Sat here at my desk at work, and my first 2 Malifaux packages have arrived. I can't wait to get home and put them together and get the paintbrushes out. Woo Hi again Ozz, I sure will be coming down to Preston at some point. I don't imagine it'll be this Wednesday but potentially the one after. I'll let you know when I have a solid plan.

I might pop down one Wednesday. It is our usual club night, so I may try and talk some of the others into a miniature road trip (pun intended!)

It might be beneficial for you to hear this from the point of view of the newbie. The demo game I was given was great, the models were nicely painted and I chose Rasputina and left lady justice for the demo-er. Before we played he explained about using cards instead of dice (we normally play warhammer at the club) and showed me the stats. We then just stuck the models on the table and started a normal game while he explained each rule as it came in to play. I think it was better this way than to show some of the rules in the first few turns then some others as the game progresses. I suppose it depends on who you are showing, but that really worked for me.

Thanks for the idea, I have added my location. I am not sure if the guy who gave me a demo is a henchman - he said he is an unofficial representative? Still, there may be others here in Lancaster who play that would be interested to know there are more of us. After looking at the pictures of the starter sets I chose the neverborn as the faction I wanted. I quite like the fact that they are such unusual minis. I picked up the Lilith box as I read that she is an easy master to learn with and I also picked up a box of young nephilim as they seemed like an obvious choice.

Hi all, I am a recent convert to Malifaux from WFB, having been given a demo at my club. Needless to say, it was so awesome the next day I ordered some models and read the entire PDF rulebook! Anyway, just a friendly hello to everyone out there.

Hi, It might be of benefit for you to be able to tell Tom that there are malifaux players in Lancaster and I, for one, would love a bricks and mortar store close by that sold Malifaux.
