  1. Yes, I'm hungry for more information! I love playing Masters who aren't at all straight-forward.
  2. Jealous! Can't wait for my Dark Debts box to come in.
  3. A bit silly that we don't have a thread for THE new faction, isn't it? So, anyone with the book have any details they'd like to share about Misaki and pals? I'm itching to know more about the Torakage. I love their design, and might actually buy them just to paint them anyways.
  4. Whoa whoa whoa everyone. Nobody's gonna hurt anybody. We're gonna be like three little Fonzies here. And what's Fonzie like? Come on guys, what's Fonzie like? Cool? Correctamundo. And that's what we're gonna be. We're gonna be cool. *ehem* Anyways, to get a little more on track here...honestly with what an interesting mechanic she's got I think she might have replaced Misaki as next on my list. Though those Torakage are really calling out to me...
  5. I'm not entirely sure. I'll let you know tomorrow morning.
  6. There's a joke about Yin giving great head in here somewhere, but I'm about a half-glass of absinthe too far gone to eloquently make it right now.
  7. Only tangentially related, but I love both the movie and the song Lost Boys, so I'm definitely going to have to check this out soon.
  8. I love the act that the current model set, as far as I can tell, seems to have this great Samurai phalanx synergy for improved mobility. I'm not a Ressur player but I'm so glad to see them get such a significant boost this round.
  9. There are already so many unpleasant fights and arguments on these forums right now it's probably for the best that they not be dug up again. While I still maintain they are infinitely more civil than the dozens of WarmaHORDES/40k fights you can read in the comments section of a lot of the Belle of Lost Souls site, they are still downers to read. By now most of everything that's been said on both sides of the argument has been said, multiple times, with varying degrees of respect and courtesy. The Ten Thunders spoiler thread alone will give you some indication of what they can be like. It's probably better to keep those buried. Things are starting to be a bit more normalized, and things seem more pleasant that way.
  10. Really? I got the opposite impression. The Ressur Love thread had a pretty interesting discussion about how punk zombies get some crazy bonuses from the Daimyo, which promises great things for Nicodem.
  11. This has been killing me. He's the Master I've been most curious about and I think he's the one we know the least about. And I don't even play Ressurs
  12. Yeah, now I'm worried I should have gone with the Beckoners instead of the Depleted. I guess that's more fodder for my Zoraida though.
  13. Wow, depleted are tanks huh? I never woulda guessed. Intriguing.
  14. Anyone ever done this before? Do they usually ship a few days after Gencon? I'm curious to know how long the wait will be. It's tearing me apaht!
  15. I definitely will be. I plan on branching from Jakob Lynch out to more Ten Thunders buys, and eventually grabbing the Misaki box.
  16. I don't know yet. I like all 3 but I definitely don't have the money for it I'm a Neverborn player so I'm leaning on Dark Debts, but at the same time something about Mei Feng intrigues me. But also Ten Thunders...ugh...
  17. Maybe it's just me, but I still feel like this is no where near as bad as it is with the 40k/Fantasy community. And I freely say this as someone who was vocal and probably obnoxiously negative about GW during fifth edition. I have yet to see anyone accuse Wyrd of being money-hungry soul-sucking demons from a yet-to-be-named Hell (though someone did recently come close). And I can almost objectively say that nothing here has gotten as ugly as the WarmaHORDES/40k fights I've seen on some forums. Maybe it's because Wyrd is new and they've had an impressive track record with putting customers first, like the TerraClips issue with the thickness of the plastic. Maybe it's the fact that it's so character driven that people enjoy identifying with a particular master and tolerate some unfairness better. Maybe I think this way because the forums I go to are just filled with the worst of the worst and by comparison I'm just not bothered by this. But even in the worst posts I've seen here there seems to be good heart. So nah, I'm not overly bummed out. I hope to stick around these forums for a good while. Malifaux is too much fun not to
  18. Great video! I'm still kicking myself for not picking up Puppet Wars when I had a chance. Also I was amused at the beginning of the video. Made me think of this. http://www.escapistmagazine.com/videos/view/loadingreadyrun/1852-Canada-is-Sorry
  19. Ahhhh, thanks mate! I'll print out Zoraida's v2 stat card for my next game. Well this is embarrassing haha. Learn something new every day!
  20. Hmmmm, both my book and my card list the text as "target model" immediately takes the action, and can only be cast once per activation. Did it get reprinted and I've been basing it off of an old print? I know I can't Conduit a Master but I didn't know I couldn't cast Obey on them. Edit:I checked Perdita's entry in the book and it says the same. But when I check aZoraida's it does specifically say non-Master, so I'm thinking I just have old prints of the book and the Zoraida card. Now I'm glad I asked, I never would have thought to look at aZoraida's Obey. Thanks for the info Ratty!
  21. Mind if I get a page number from a book? I wanna make sure I'm not missing anything else.
  22. Ahhh, wasn't aware you couldn't Obey a Master. Was that an errata or am I missing something in the text that's glaringly obvious?
  23. I feel like this is a stupid newb question, but I feel compelled to ask. Hypothetically speaking, could you Obey another Obey command? The wording on the spell says "can only be cast once per activation." Does that mean that written instance of that spell, or the spell Obey and all spells named Obey can only be cast once per activation? I feel like for the sake of fairness it's the second reading but I can't seem to find any indication either way. Hypothetical Example Situation: I have aZoraida and a Doppleganger. aZoraida has used Obey for her activation. The Doppleganger activates and takes aZoraida's Obey and CA stat. Doppleganger casts Obey on aZoraida, I cheat so the Obey is successfully cast. Could I then force aZoraida to cast Obey, theoretically giving her a second chance to use Obey with access to the Conduit ability of her presumably summoned Voodoo Doll and trigger for Master of Manipulation?
  24. Still not bad for one spell taking up two models' activations, plus the dead Marionette having slow post-summon without having to flip a resisted duel (besides the Obey).
  25. Huh, just a thought, but if Collidi is not taken as a Master then you could hypothetically Voodoo Doll him with Zoraida and force-cast Long-Strings to hamper his mobility, couldn't you?
