  1. It was my first time seeing him hit the table. He was running the protection chain with 2 guild hounds and a watcher. I am not familiar with Hoffman so I dont even know if this is the tipical build or just what is played around here. I like to run the Oetega box swapping out Loco for the neph if I want to have more stones.
  2. I always do a dry run with poster tack to fit everything together before gluing.
  3. Grabbed 3rd place and a Pariot airbrush for this guy. Thanks SoCal Malifaux!
  4. Ran up against Hoffman for the first time and was stumped. I am a pretty new player and was wondering what the genegal stratagy was against Hoffman.
  5. You cant compare this to something that is in regular production. I doubt they broke even on the cost to produce the special edition stuff.
  6. Thats a pretty good report just from memory. +1 on the pics.
  7. They are popping up now and again on ebay. Its looking like $150 and up for her right now. my favorite right now is the one that was up with a buy it now for $50, and is now up to $153 with bids DERP!!!!!!
  8. I like this site lots of good stuff here http://handcannononline.com/
  9. I thinks its funny that you see the studio colors much less than custom colors. I almost always go with studio colors, but I like selling my stuff to get my next fix
  10. I think its the back ground you are using more than the light. Check out these backgrounds. http://corvusminiatures.blogspot.jp/2010/04/cloud-backdrops-for-your-miniature.html
  11. Should be no problem if you are going carry on. Check the size limits for your air line and dont say they are hollow. I've read horror stories of the agents having to break minis to make sure they were empty.
  12. I use aloe vera gel to lubricate my tools. Saw it some painting video years ago and it works pretty good.
  13. How about the Hats and Guns of Malifaux blister pack that Wyrd sells. http://wyrd-games.net/shop/Hats-and-Guns-of-Malifaux.html
  14. I stole a bunch of Cogswell cogs and Spacely sprockrets from my sons old K'nex boxes. Try to find some at a Thrift shop. You can do some budget texturing by pealing the paper from one side of foam board and using a pen to draw you stone patern on. I like to peal a few random spots to make it look like exposed brick. Another good one is to use sheet Styrene and carvin tools to make some cracked looking paving. If you are in the States go check out Harbor Frieght Tools. They have a huge selection of tools for very cheap. I grabe a set of sculpting tools for about $5 after paying $35 for the GF9 set.
  15. +1 on the Vellejo pigments.
  16. Hey all. I'm lookin gfor some tips for starting wiht the Victorias. What kind of schemes and stratagies should I be looking at taking?
  17. Austringer and Nino are a nice pair.
  18. Thanks guys. I did go easy on him. He was kinda under the impresssion that the game was not balanced well after reading some reviews online. See I told you he was a power gamer, he looked up the most broken things he could find before the game I had some great help from the SoCal Malifaux guys having only played 4 games myself. I have to say this has been one of the best communitys to begin gaming with.
  19. I forgot to add we started gaming together back in the early 90's so letting him win is simply out if the question. I think I owe him a few, me being the "fluffy guy" and him being the "power gamer" he's due for some beat down :-P
  20. Thanks for the suggestions guys. I just got home from the shop and I think he is hooked.
  21. Just brought down two good buddies from my Warmachine group amd I think they are as hooked as I am now.
  22. I have a good friend that wants to check out Malifaux and was looking for some tips on getting him as hooked as I am. He is interested in the Soniia Criid (spelling?) box. Shoot me some pointers guys. Thanks.
