Soooo glad I took Ophelia! In turn two or three, the steamborg executioner got a series of charges (3 I think), that got him into melee with Som'er (he used push aside which grants him another charge). Som'er survived. Ophelia pushed him out with Ooo a Girl, then shot the Steamborg to bits. She then went to work on something else later on. I won the game but in the end lost every model but a Bayou, who got in the other half to stake a claim and win the game. Things to learn still, but thanks for the advice.

How effective will Alpha Stank or Gremline Gunline be? They've all got armour, right? I had been thinking of taking: Som'er Mosquito - 2SS 4 Bayou Gremlins - 8SS Warpig - 8SS Then options for the other 9SS include: Taxidermist + Bayou - 8SS (to recycle corpse counters, make some moveable bombs and have more fodder for factory) 3 Bayou's + Slop Hauler - 9SS (quickly get up to 8 Bayou's [all at full health] then run for his end zone to get those objective markers, but light on defence [use the warpig?]) Ophelia - 8SS (to provide some punch to attacks and stability to a gunline) 2 Bayou's + Slop Hauler - 8SS (to get the factory moving quicker and everyone up to health) Rami + Bayou - 8SS (for long range cover at my end of the table and more factory fodder) Raph + Bayou - 8SS (for running up the board 20" and more factory fodder) Pere + 2 Bayous - 9SS (if Ramos does less WP duels then Pere could be a way to take out one of his big things fast if I can flip in a ram for breathe fire) My experience is still quite lacking, so not sure what combo to take or whether to go with some other mix. Also, does the Warpig's 'Eat Anything' ability allow it to get rid of scrap counters when a construct dies?

so have read up on Pull My Finger about Ramos but still wanting to ask if anyone has tips on what gremlins you'd take against Ramos if Som'er is your master? Please note I don't have piglets yet, no pigapult, it's shared destroy the evidence, 27SS and we have to use the starter box models as the basis for the crew. With thanks in advance!

So, as the title suggests, I have this match up tonight. Any suggestions or things to keep in mind? Planning on taking Taxidermist and one mosquito again, which takes me up to 24SS. Have to use the Som'er boxset in full (league rules). It's Contain Power strategy.

Hey, so used taxidermist for the first time the other night. If have no piglets but got stuffed pigs and was using Som'er. How far forward should I be pushing him? Leave him near back till some models die? Or push forward to accompany sme gremlins/warpig so that when they die he is on the scene? Also, is he best to be held back till I have a the right card in my hand rather than rely on the luck of the flip?

Yeah, we have to use the starter box. Had thought about just using Ophelia but I do like Som'er, feels like there are more options since it's not just shooty (if I buy some piglets). So far it looks like I'm up against Colette, Ramos, Ortegas, Rasputina, Lucius, Pandora, and Lilith. I thought Som'er might have a better time with it against some of those Masters than Ophelia, especially as he can affect my/their hand of cards. Thoughts? Seems to leave too few SS if I take Ophelia with Som'er at 25SS, but would definitely take her at 30SS - she is so lethal. So can't wait to replace that Warpig with other stuff!

So I know most people aren't going to like the setup of the mini-league that my local club has went with, but I'm looking for some thoughts. The club is running an 8 week league. In the first 6 weeks you must use models only from the starter box, up to the soul stone limit, which is 2 weeks at 25SS, 2 weeks at 27SS, then 2 weeks at 30SS. In the last two weeks, you are only forced to take the Master from the starter box and the limit is 30SS. They/I know this isn't quite how Malifaux is meant to run by it is thought this might encourage more people to start it up as they only need the starter box plus a few other models (except if you're taking Som'er!). So anyway, I am thinking of taking Som'er, though I also have the Ophelia starter box. This means the box is: Som'er 0SS Warpig 8SS 4 Bayous 8SS Anyone any suggestions on what I should think about taking with the last 9SS? I should mention that I don't have any piglets yet or whisperer, but may have them in time for game 2. Any non-pig suggestions would be welcome. Also, no pigapult. I was thinking of taking 1 mosquito (2SS) and 2 more Bayou's (4SS) for the 25SS game. Thoughts?

So I have a game coming up with my Gremlins vs Zoraida in a week, and looking for suggestions on what to watch out for that isn't included in http://pullmyfinger.wikispaces.com/Zoraida I have the Som'er box, the Ophelia box, 4 extra Bayou Gremlins, 2 Slop Haulers, 3 Young LaCroix, 4 Mosquitoes and McTavish. I've got a rat model too which I'll sub in for a Malifaux Rat. I've still to play with a Som'er led crew as I only got him and the mosquitoes a week ago, the same for McTavish, but I've been trying to read up on Som'er's tactics here on the forum and on Pull My Finger. Any thoughts appreciated. It'll be 35SS.

Hi, still finding my feet with Malifaux, thus this post. Recently played a game with Ophelia leading a crew against a crew that had something which could cast lure. I wanted to ask about Line of Sight in this situation. Since all my models are 1 inch, if I have one Gremlin in front of the target (e.g. Ophelia), does that block or obstruct LOS? If it does, what effect does that have on the spell/ability? Second question: I just want to check that my understanding of the Errata is correct regarding "ooh a girl". If I use this to push a Gremlin to beside Ophelia, am I correct in thinking that I can place that Gremlin in base contact with Ophelia (as long as there is space for him to fit beside Ophelia, there is LOS between the two of them, that they are within 8 inches) and that the model doesn't need a clear, unobstructed path to get to Ophelia? That can effectively lift and place the Gremlin? Any help much appreciated.
