Hi Guys and Gals Just need a quick bit of help. I will be using Kaeris and Rasputina for the first time tonight and not really had any time to check out the stat cards and rules for them. So can anyone suggest a list of additional pieces I will need to play them? I will be using the box sets so please suggest how many counters and markers etc I should make on the quick. I guess I will need burning counters but what else? Thanks Michael

Thanks for those comments. I will post in the correct area next time. Yet another newbie mistake I will get Avatar Ramos after I get to the end of book 2 and begin book 3

Hi Guys (and Gals) Newbie question time. Running Ramos and his spiders if I use Disruption Field to give casters a -Flip for Casting does that only work if the caster model is within the aura? or does it also affect ranged spells targeting the model as well? I habitually activate this ability but I never seem to be seeing any benefit from it. This is probably because opponents are activating spells and I do not know they are actually a spell rather than an ability. The next problem I have is most of my games end with me having tons of scrap counters all over the table and not being able to use them because the action always seems to be too far away from Ramos. Ramos is normally pretty static as I am using his ap to cast spells or make spiders and scrap early on. So should I forgo a spell or two to allow Ramos to move up with his crew so he is a bit closer when the scrap starts to fall? Are there any models I could include in my crew (essentially just the crew box at the moment, plus totem and EC) that can use all these scrap counters for something? It just seems a waste to see them all over the place and not be able to do anything with them. I think that is about it for now. Thanks in advance. Michael PS thinking about doing some video battle reports so people can see what I am doing and help me to learn what I am doing wrong or where my opponents are hood winking me I am sure I can't be total fail at Malifaux not that my track record contradicts that. Played about 12 games and think I have only won 2.

Sorry to bump the thread. Bad form I know but.... Any idea where the train and track on tables 1 & 2 came from? I really want something similar for my home terrain collection cut have been struggling to find something the right size. The uses used on these tables looked a good fit to me. Any information you can give me or alternatives to try would be appreciated. Thanks Michael

Tempted to come along to this event after enjoying Lost Love at the weekend. Trying to think of reasons not to but running short. Will make my mind up by the weekend.

Couple of little details. Possibly my fault for not fully reading the event pack handed out in the morning. 1 - Was not aware that the Master judging was taking place until I saw the crowd of people at the table. Managed to get my model on the table before all the votes were cast (not that I expected anyone to like my efforts too much) but I noticed a few other people rush to get their Masters in the line up. But by then almost all the votes were done. So for the next event perhaps a quick word before the preceding round starts to tell people to place there Master model on said table after their game for judging and perhaps voting slips to be placed on the table 5 or ten minutes after the last people finish their game and hand in their score card. 2 - As Gorbad said about the Supply Wagons. It would have been nice to have those lined up in a similar manner too. Other than those minor gripes (well not even gripes, more suggestions) I had a great time and will be back for more. Once again thanks to my opponents and the organisers ie Clousseau. Michael

Had a great time today thanks. I like to think I learned something. Getting a bit more confident with all this flipping lark. There were a few more experienced players than I expected at an event badged up for beginners but at least the four guys I played were all friendly and willing to help a newbie even if three of them did stomp all over me. I have finally made my counters/markers. So tomorrow I will be getting those painted up. I have one Claim marker, 3 Evidence markers, 8 Scrap counters and a Supply Wagon. I hope that's all that is required because that's all ya gettin'

Fair comment. To be honest I was concerned about pretty much everything in your crew simply due to lack of understanding. As it turned out I probably should have just rushed in as fast as I could to reduce the number of times you could get that nasty spell off. Losing my Steamborg was a kick in the nuts and such a waste for me to keep him out of combat for the sake of a couple of vp. I would be happy to play your list again and maybe learn a little more. Perhaps our paths will cross on Sunday depending on the draw. At least I can say I am a little older and wiser now. Michael

At the risk of sounding a bit dim (happens a lots) where can I get a V2 stat card/pdf? The Wyrd Archanist V2 pdf does not have an entry for Mobile Toolkit and the card I have does not have 'v2' in the corner. My Electrical Creation is the same too and that is not on the pdf either. Hi Guys Finally got some time to myself this morning and got the bulk of my crew painted. Still lots of touch ups to do and stuff but at least I won't feel guilty using them now they have some colour on them. I need to put some black stripes over the large yellow areas on the bases and throw some washes over the bright colours to dull them down a bit. But that's as far as my painting skills go. All said and done i am happy with the results and only took about 4 hours to do. Hope you like. Be kind Michael

You score VP's every turn and they add up? Ie hold the treasure 3 turns and score 3vps? If not how do you keep your schemes secret if you have to tell your opponent every turn that I score a VP for something but I am not going to tell you what? Just when I thought I was starting to learn the rules things go belly up. I will just have to rely on the honesty of my opponents. Which will probably translate as 'get walked all over from the start'. Best go take a couple of happy pills to cheer myself up. Oh on a lighter note. Got my crew painted this morning.
