I was playing Infinity and Warmachine.. then our group stopped playing Infinity (one of us "broke" the game) and concentrated on warmahordes. Then we started seeing people playing Malifaux in our FLGS. The models caught my eye and having a small skirmish game appealed to our group. So we looked into the book (book 1) and the website and fell in love with Lady Justice... and since then my small Death Marshalls crew box grew into most of the Guild, a Ten Thunders box on the way and just received my Levi crew. Safe to say I'm hooked. Plus, the small army size forces me to paint models I put on the table.

All I know is that her Totem reminds me of Naruto... "Kage Bushin No Jutsu!"

True.. and he was better dressed too. The Guild may not have "willies" but we have a Salamander (aSonnia). lol

wow... that dude is scary... I guess the Guild no longer has the monopoly for crazy dynamite throwing madmen...

This is great especially toward the end of the encounter... drop an insignificant minion to reactivate Lucius so that he can kill a Master or claim an objective.

plus the fact that there were probably more rezzers, arcanists and neverborns playing the Dead Heat League... I'd like to say the Guild will Strike Back... perhaps cutting Ramos' arm in the process.

Dude, Event Horizon still gives me the shivers... that should be a Story Encounter.. so full of Neverborn Goodness...

Ok, got it... I might even add Keyser Soze... Anyway, back to the original topic: Any further thoughts on the new minions and the Ten Thunders crews? Is Willie a Ten Thunder?

Since we're talking villains here are my top 5 (in no particular order): 1. The Borg (Star Trek) 2. Darth Vader (Star Wars) 3. Scorpius (Farscape) 4. Magneto (X-Men) 5. The Joker (Batman) I considered adding Biff Tannen from Back To The Future but I preferred Mad Dog "Manure, I hate manure!" Tannen over Biff or Griff.

I just played with the Guild Guard Captain last weekend. So if I take out Lady J, here's my new list: Lucius 0 ss cache Guild Austringer 5 ss Guild Austringer 5 ss Guild Rifleman 4 ss Guild Rifleman 4 ss Guild Guard 4 ss Guild Guard Captain 7 ss Drill Sergeant 3 ss Lawyer 7 ss Or I can take out the Drill Sergeant and Lawyer and put in 1 Guild Guard (4 ss) and 2 Guild Hounds (6 ss) and still have 1 ss in my cache. Again, it looks good on paper.

Well, bad things happen in Malifaux... so let's do our best to NOT be a desperate mercenary.... At least for my Sonnia crew, they become Witchling Stalkers... I dunno if that's a fate worse than death..

I actually thought Misaki would have gone Avatar after her fight with Kaeris at the end of book 3.

How about Avatar: Last Airbender? oops... they might get sued.. nevermind... LOL

something tells me there will be another event in book 5 to give Ten Thunders masters and henchmen avatars (and possibly more avatars for current Masters). Just speculating...

Or you can hire both of them and make it an Expendables crew... hehehe... imagine all the gatling gun action...

So there is actually a list of Outcast Minions that Misaki is limited to when hiring non-10T minions. If so, that kinda sucks... I've spent all night last night reading up book 1-3 Outcasts and wished that she could hire other Minions... oh well, I bet most of the 10T Minions are good anyway.

cuz it would cost you a soulstone to have the Desperate Merc to survive till the end of the end. I use them as front line first blood minions... i care less if they die early.. that's why I hired them.

Question: what is Misaki's special rule on hiring non-10T minions? So far, i only see 'Mercenary' as a common theme. So that migh mean she can hire minions other than Desperate Mercs, Hans, Ronin and Talor. Am I correct? Or can anyone share this special rule?

if that's the case, I need to repaint my Red Coats Guild Guardsmen... no wonder they keep on getting killed.
