The next one does look impressive. Still hoping that tile expansions will happen at some point. Mostly want to get an all undead game, so that the Paladin's Holy ability finally has a use.

I'm still waiting for the Von Drakk expansion to get monster boxes. I'd like to have enough stuff for all undead without buying two Manors. I've heard Nyan Nyan is pretty silly with her 9 Lives ability.

Finally decided to pick up an infinity model. Grabbed Nyan Nyan from the CMON shop and wanted something else to pad out the order to justify shipping. Was either going to be Myrmidon Officer or Legion, and went with the office since it may get played one day. Trying to avoid adding to my pile of purely painting projects. I'm still shocked over DnD last night. Out of 24 wishes only one had the potential to kill a player. Immediately gaining the knowledge of significant events that occurred during my 50 year imprisonment only resulted in a 3 day coma. Granted most of the wishes were kept to small stat increases, and improving magical items.

Anything I wanted was already sold out. If the Mechanical Rider was in stock I may have considered putting together Avatar Levi's Horsemen list. Probably best to wait for plastics on those.

This is a story of what happens when you take a joke and just keep running with it. So long ago I used to own an ork army, but when 6th edition came out it killed two of the three lists I owned and I was never playing the third list again after using it for an extremely long tournament. So I sold the army to some of the locals, primarily Mr."C". Since the money from the army was going towards getting some terraclip terrain to play Malifaux easier I told him I'd name a building on it after him, thus began the recurring terrain feature of a bar named "C's No Evil". After getting a hold of more books a recurring joke was that he should play because he was already a model in the game (Guild Captain). Fast forward a few months and I finally had enough players to run a beginner league. For the league every week I'd start it off with a fluff piece to setup what the scenario was for the week. This was a reference to how Mr."C" would always setup the 40k tournaments by receiving your orders on what your mission is. As it was a beginner league I set it up that you were just arriving in Malifaux and had little money you followed a rumor that there was always work at the "No Evil". Thus Mr."C" the retired captain turned bartender/crimeboss became your weekly quest giver after you managed to come back alive a few times. Most of the dialogue from the league were references to several "C"-isms, such as Ol'Strokey and "Take off your damn hat". The joke was to read it in his voice for added effect. Fast forward again and Mack puts a call out on the the TtB forums for character quotes, and I submitted several lines from my league. Which then lead to this. I thought it was pretty funny that an in-joke had ran far enough to possible get him made a cannon character. Fast forward one last time, and I managed to get my hands on a Captain model from somebody planning to re-buy Lucius's box in plastic. So I paint him up, ask Mr."C" what his IG's regiment number is, and free-hand a crappy little Aquila on his back. The only complaint on the model was that I didn't sculpt a cummerbund on to the model to cover the gut. Other than that we all thought it was hilarious. So after getting permission to post the comparison shot outside of the local group, I decided to post it on the Wyrd facebook group, and learn this. Moral of the story:Mack Martin is an asshole.... Also TtB plot hook for my players after we finish playing out the league story. Now to wait for the perfect moment to break the news to Mr. "C".

This is the problem with the combo. First we're talking about 3 models total, with 2-3 activations needed to set it up. So in a perfect world Hans needs an 11 Crow to get the condition then a decent card to shoot. The DM then needs a 5+ to pine box him. Tara then needs an 8 to Whisper, then an 11 Crow or 11+Stone to get the condition. She is then attacking with Sh5, or throwing more 8s to use Han's rifle instead. So were looking at needing half your hand at moderately high cards along with clearly telegraphing your plan to your opponent over two activations.

The painting contest was dropped, but I did manage to get her 99% done before it. It could still use some highlighting, and I need to figure out how to get her a little more secure to the base. I may need to completely strip the model and modify the flame to allow a pin easier. If I do end up repainting it, I'll likely do a more traditional fire since it matches her colours better. Also did up my Guild Captain. This model is more an inside joke than anything. Anyone who has followed my league thread or my post on the TTB forums know that Mr.C is a recurring character. The real Mr.C approves of his mini form.

Being a henchman in a small gaming group is like being a library. You're the only person with the book everyone will want to borrow for stats/rules/fluff.

I feel like he is 40mm base simply because he's a character young.

Nightmare Hanged are really the only models that were hit hard by this since every other Miss/Nightmare model is easily proxied. The Nightmare hanged however are on larger bases than non-nightmare hanged meaning they needed their cards to be played. We may get lucky and have the TTB stretch goal hanging tree come with M2E cards, but that is a long shot...

Genius

Books and big box items always hike shipping by upping box size and weight. Its why I try to get larger stuff ordered local when possible. Reminds me that I need to see about getting Puppet Wars some time, and maybe kings after I see some reviews.

I know its fairly debated topic on what is considered an appropriate amount of terrain for Malifaux. After seeing some of the tables from Gencon do you feel you have too much or too little. I feel like I could probably remove a few things on mine.
