  2. Very much disapointed, no wife pass!! Shame as i was looking foward to my first malifaux tourny, hopefully next time
  3. Hi Zodak, We play every two weeks on a wed night. There is always a game or two of malifaux, and yes we have room for a few more regulars, so you would be welcome down. First night is always free and we will ensure you get to game. The only thing we request is that you tell us your coming down a good few day before the night on our forum. This helps us to plan ahead making sure everyboby gets a game, and that we can fit everybody in. The link to website is on the original post, and from there you can find the forum (its a pretty basic affair!). Send me a pm if you need ay further info, but hopefully we will see you down soon*happy**happy*
  4. Ok thats good news, i dont yet own 55 ss from that same faction but can proabbly muster up about 40 or so. Me and a mate are leaning on attending but will confirm on wednesday - needed the dreaded wife pass first!
  5. Couple of quick questions? Is there a painting requirment - i cannot see this in the rule pack? What night does the club normally play on? I often work in walsall and stay overnight id love to be able play a game as opposed to hanging out on my own in my hotel room!
  6. Hi there - we have a new, small but growing club based in chorley, which is not too far from you. We are playing Malifaux every week along with other systems. Good mix of ages, and a very friendly socailable group of gamers. We meet every other wednesday, and your first visit is free and we will ensure you get a game! Send me a pm if ou fancy coming down to check us out and play, we would love to have another player involved. Check us out at http://winterhillwargamers.webeden.co.uk/who-we-are/4561543302
  7. Have been getting a little confused with this of late, and hoping you good peeps can put me back on track. Eg Perdita is casting obey on nino, can nino choose to fail the resist, and suffer the effect of the spell?
  8. Ok so I have got myself a couple of the Old west buildings from sarissa precision. I've done a dry fit, and everything is nice and easy to fit together, but I want to firm them up for play tomorrow evening? What's the best type of glue to use for these? Can I use some Pva?
  9. Hey barney, made it across to the NWGC a couple of times last autumn and had some good games. I might plan a group trip in a few months when everybody is up to speed, perhaps we could have an inter club match or something?
  10. Yes Eucid, we are directly opposite the train station and have some good transport links being next to the bus station also. When your planning your next trip to the motherland let us know and we can fix up a game for you?
  11. Do we really need more books right now with additional rules? Am thinking that the entry level for new players with rules in three different books is already quite confusing. I'd really like them to release one book to rule them all!
  12. Apologies magic pockets, didn't see your reply until now!!! You would be more than welcome to dip in and out whenever you come up North to see your folks!!! We always have malifaux going on so there's no issue about getting a game - just give us a weeks notice so we can plan who will play you*happy**happy*
  13. The garden of moor is a good set, just a little spoiled in my opinion by the excessive amount of skulls. However the price is much more palatable!
  14. Yes pricey!!! This was a little Xmas treat to myself:)
  15. No there are no skulls on it!! table top world http://www.tabletop-world.com/Graveyard.php It not yet finished, but I'll take some more pics tonight for you.
  16. I'm really liking your style - Wish I could do at least half as well.
  17. Hi Folks, Wanted to share with you my efforts of making my first Malifaux gaming board, and the various bits of scenary I have made to go with it. The background to this was I needed a new board for our club the winter hill wargamers. I've been reading several posts relating to the subject and it seems like the more terrain you use the better the gaming experaince, as it creates a more ballanced game. This seemed pretty important to achive understanding that the club members have picked different crews to learn the game! Anyway I've attached a few photos of typical club night set ups on our new board, and i'm hoping you peeps can advise me if we are playing with the right amount of terrain on the board?
  18. Thanks Ratty - sanity restored (only just). I own the original rule book, and hadn't realised it had been removed until today. Another one to communicate to the gaming group. Thanks to everybody who has responded on this thread, think we can close this one down now*happy*
  19. I'm sure i read this somewhere, or I may be getting confused at shooting your own crew, but after you have pointed this out I cannot find the rule anywhere, so probably in my head:facepalm::facepalm::facepalm:
  20. Yes I see it now page 50 - spells basic - bullet point three. So if attack spells follow the same targeting rules as ranged attacks they can target models in melee, but have to make a wp test, and there's a possability it may hit others in the melee? Is my thinking right on this?
  21. Thanks - any chance you can reference this rule for me? Ie page number or rule section I like to highlight rule queries to the rest of the group, and this really helps?
  22. The fourth bullet point on page 15 of the rule book under obscuring trait states that you get soft cover. Does this apply to ranged attack spells that are trying to target you?
  23. Might be worth while clarifying if you mean the first book that was released which contained both the fluff and the rules or the newer mini rule book? My new group have been able to pick up copies of the mini rule book pretty easily over the past month, although from what I can tell the first book is out of print, and being redone, and has not been available for about six months (which supports your timeframes).
