  1. Two more additions (with scales of justice and the last marshall still to come) Executioner Deathmarshall #2
  2. Thanks for all the replies. He arrived yesterday, and is already based and primed, awaiting paint as I type. I appreciate all the input on tactics too.
  3. I just picked up Killjoy and am really looking forward to doing exactly this, the look on the opponents face as the 2 psychos hit the table at once should be priceless. Thanks for the tip on the necropunk too, I was going to use canine remains but the slow to die sacrifice is brilliant.
  4. Malifaux demo at Cal Poly, San Luis Obispo Game Theory, building 8 17:00-22:00 Friday, July 6 I will have terrain, crews (models), and decks. All you need to bring is yourself (you are welcome to bring along any of your stuff as well). All players, new and old, are welcome. Any questions or if you need directions, just PM.
  5. I just picked up Killjoy and looking forward to getting him painted up and on the table. I have never seen anyone use him, so I'm wondering what the consensus is. Not worth the points? Too much trouble on the table (sacrifice/out of control)? I like him for those aspects, I think he will be fun, and dont really care about how competitive he is. Any thoughts?
  6. The idea is sound, I've been playing some with Ronin and really like them. Plus they will go well with your cowboy/gunfighter theme. Sounds like a good match up.
  7. I dont know about rivalries, but the fluff hints that Zoraida and Leveticus were, at one time in the distant past, an ' item'.
  8. The best luck I have had with pinning is brass rod, strong enough to reinforce the joint but still flexible enough to get positioning right. And like said above, a sharp bit. Otherwise you slip or waller out the hole hole and end with a bad fit. I also clear coat after finishing which sends to cover up any glue haze.
  9. Nicely done, they really look good. Have you tried magnets on the fig and another set in the base? I find the bond with magnets on both halves much stronger than magnet on metal (especially if they are in direct contact). Look forward to seeing them painted.
  10. Recent additions to the painted contingent. Lady J and a couple of her crew (2nd death marshal and executioner are almost complete and will be up ASAP).
  11. Well stated and a great view to have. I have a similar view to the game, enjoy playing the game itself. Thank you for sharing this.
  12. Beautifully done, the palette and execution are great.
  13. Yes, Pere comes with a 40mm base (gotta keep up with Papa Loco) and the pig. Thank you both for the kind words.
  14. Well, thought I would document my growing collection and painting. Comments and critique are welcome. I need to take some better individual pictures but for now, two group shots. Seamus Crew Ophelia's Crew
  15. Those are some really nasty Ophelia ideas <rubs hands> can't wait to try them......
  16. I definitely recommend this event, attended last year and had a great time. Unfortunately can't attend this year due to previous commitments but a definite thumbs up.
  17. Thanks for all the responses, much appreciated.
  18. First off, I apologize, I'm sure this has been covered but the search function won't work with my phone. Now, can the Rotten Belle's Lure be used to trigger Seamus' No Escape? Lure is a push and no escape triggers on a movement effect. So whats the verdict? Thanks in advance.
  19. That really looks great, I really like the painting on the lid, nicely done.
  20. I believe it is option #1 but will defer to greater minds here on the boards.
  21. I gotta go with Hopkins, just seems like a natural progression.
  22. Thanks, appreciate the help. As far as henchman, I think I'll leave it to him until I am MUCH better versed in the rules (still too many questions at this point).
